I didn't realize that Bush was healthy honestly. Thought he was still out. Jones I just plain forgot about. In any case, losing those 2 is a big blow to their running game.
Pierre Thomas was just put on IR. As was Chris Ivory yesterday. The NO running backs are now DeShawn Wynn and Joique Bell. So if the Pack win, the Bears either get the Seahawks or a Saints team with no RB's.
Btw, what's with all the Beards on the offense lately? They think they're in the Stanley Cup playoffs? http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/bears-practice-cw.jpg I know I've seen beards on Cutler, Knox, Gould, Forte, and Olsen for sure.
If it's based on position I would not doubt that. He's been a tremendous hitting shortstop. For some reason I posted this and then never came back to this thread. I was looking at the entire batters list. All positions, all-time. http://www.lehigh.edu/~dmd1/ALLRANKS.XLS
Why? Because it's freaking annoying. What's the point of it? Because it's the name of their school? The University of Chicago, The University of Iowa, etc. THE Ohio St. University is really the only annoying-sounding one. I can understand when it's NOT the school's name (e.g. "University of Illinois") but I don't get the rant otherwise. I don't have specific examples at the moment, but it's used a lot more than when it's just part of the name. Even when it is...it's the over-emphasizing that's annoying.
Don Banks may not use the word "luck" when talking about the Bears in the Playoff Power Rankings, but it's right there between the lines.... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/don_banks/01/05/nfl-playoff-power-rankings/index.html
It'd be great for them if they gave Clausen a full year, discovered he can be a good to very good NFL quarterback and then are able to trade the 1st pick in a year with Luck available and a rookie cap in place. They could get a ridiculous haul at that point. Two seasons in a row with a team that is bad enough to get the first draft pick...that sounds like a real hoot.
Yeah...that and the worst team in a division is always going to appear to have the hardest schedule the next season, simply because they don't get to play themselves, and other teams beefed up their records against them.
Yeah...Saints over Bears at Soldier Field in January would be quite surprising. As would Baltimore beating the Pats in Foxborough. Not to mention the whole "Packers winning 3 road games plus the SB" thing.
