    Isn't this misleading? How long have baseball executives/decision-makers been referred to as general managers? Apparently since 1934 for the Cubs. Ok, so GMs didn't exist in our most successful era... COINCIDENCE!?!!? lol. 75+ years of GM's sucked. That's kinda the point.

    The bad news for the new guy...and I doubt this is really news for many ppl here on the board, but... The Cubs are already paying $65 million next season just for Soriano, Zambrano, Ryan Dempster, Marlon Byrd and Carlos Marmol.

    Psh, going to training camp with the rest of the team and coaches used to get Walter Payton out of shape. Obviously few will ever touch Walter in that regard, but grown men being paid millions should be able to get work in on their own just fine. Reportedly Cutler and Knox both came into camp in better shape than usual. It's all about how much you want it, honestly. Briggs has a bruised knee and will not play on Monday. Iwuh will start in his place.

    Is that the same price as it is for Direct TV subscribers? As a PS3 owner I would be very interested if it was about $100 less ($210-230), but I don't think it's worth it for that much for the reasons those have mentioned amongst others. It's about $5 more than Direct TV subscribers.
