  1. Rams over 7.5 (even) Packers under 11.5 (-150) Broncos over 5.5 (-140) Panthers over 4.5 (-135) seem like easy money too I can't get to gambling sites at work. What's the Detroit odds?
  2. Roy Williams is a Mike Martz pick. Just like Manumaleuna and Todd Collins were... I'm not super confident about him, to say the least.

  4. Brad Penny yelled at Sean Rodriguez of the Rays for running hard on a popout. http://www.raysindex.com/2011/08/tigers-pitcher-thinks-baseball-field-is-no-place-for-hustling.html
  5. O-line, Roy Williams, pass rush and the secondary are the areas I want to see really play well. I have a feeling that Toub really laid into the ST guys after last week, and that they'll be on their game this week.
  6. Coletti + Sandberg...the board would freaking explode.
  7. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/6893084/roy-williams-johnny-knox-position-battle Darryl Drake, Bears WR coach: Martz is more forgiving...
  8. Jon Heyman throws water on the Olney stuff....
  9. Kerry Collns un-retires, joins the Colts. I'd say Manning is definitely questionable for Week 1.

  11. Far from the biggest issue for the Bears, but when will they just bite the bullet and cut Chester Taylor? He serves no purpose on this team.
  12. WR's having a really rough night. Roy Williams looks like crap so far. O-line did a reasonable job on pass protection. Cutler may not have all night, but he's kept his jersey pretty clean. ST is having a bad night...too many big returns. Glad this is preseason. Still time to get sloppiness cleaned up. But there's some encouraging signs from the O-line tonight.
  13. It'd be awfully nice if the O-line could surprise everybody tonight and hold up strong.

  16. Supplemental draft is at noon.
  17. While there were definitely varying degrees of availability for the free agent receivers this year, I will say your list isn't nearly complete....... Sidney Rice, Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Ochocinco, Terrell Owens, Malcom Floyd, Steve Smith, Santana Moss, Randy Moss, Plaxico Burress, Steve Breaston, James Jones, Sims-Walker and others. That reads more like a Pro Bowl roster than a typical free agent list. While some weren't realistic at all, I'm pretty disappointed with the Bears haul at that position this offseason. Help for Cutler needed to be the #1 priority this offseason and instead of making it the #1 priority, it was almost like it wasn't treated like a priority at any level at all. Most of those are not "pro bowl" players anymore.
  18. Yeah, site had a little hiccup there. I blame tapatalk.
  19. It's either that or chaw. That I've seen plenty. I guess I've just been oblivious to the seeds while they're on the field.
  20. It could well be that I've just never paid that close of attention (I know I haven't this year...least baseball I've ever watched), but I'm not sure I've seen guys eating/spitting seeds while playing the field before. In the dugout, sure. But that was just a weird sight.
  21. If you watched the game last night, you saw Bobby Valentine spend about half an inning laying into Castro. Even though about three times Valentine said he didn't wanna beat Castro up, that's exactly what he did. Things that Valentine criticized Castro for. 1) Facing away from the batter as the pitch was thrown. 2) Pulling out sunflower seeds from his back pocket as the pitch was thrown 3) Taking his glove off between pitches 4) Looking down all the time The first one was obviously a pretty fair criticism. The others were up for debate, especially as they praised Barney, but showed him doing similar stuff. Bobby called Castro the most talented player on the team a number of times, but was clearly irritated. Figured it was fodder for discussion.
  22. Honestly, I'm more worried about the interior line. Theres things you can do to mitigate problems at the tackle positions, keep a Tight End in (and it seems like their mantra with the tight ends this year is basically block first) but problems inside ? You're screwed. And if Chris Williams keeps getting shoved to the ground and Garza and Spencer can't handle it, pretty much kiss any hopes of even a mediocre offense goodbye. BTW, according to Brad Biggs, the Bears see Carimi as a RT. They don't intend to move him to LT. At all.
  23. Supposedly gonna talk to Ricketts during the Cubs game tonight on ESPN. I'm not gonna be able to pay full attention, so someone post something here if he says anything interesting, so I don't have to wade through the game thread.
