i'm honestly thinking a theo-hahn pairing is in our future. with francona as manager. I don't think Francona is gonna happen.

I don't think anyone's saying we care what their opinion is as to the ultimate question. But it's interesting to hear that they (Boston fans) are reacting to the tap dance the same way that we (Cubs fans) are. Depending on your biases, you can hear different things - so it's interesting that we all heard the same thing. Pretty sure that was a joke based on a comment from yesterday.

Yeah. Or if you're a pessimist, it could be a reason why they won't grant it. But I agree. I think Kenney is going to be out/minimized. Which I don't care about either way, except if it increases the chances of Theo coming.

I caught part of that too. He seemed to think Theo coming here was definitely possible. He didn't think Francona was gonna happen though. SoSH wasn't too happy with the Henry/Lucchino interview.

Man, why'd you have to go and make this post? Apparently being Jewish also is a factor on something being announced Bruce Levine (2:13 PM) I'd say Theo as GM is much more likely and something we should know in the next 2-3 days. The Jewish high holiday starting tomorrow night convilutes things a bit. It would not be kosher to announce your new Jewish GM on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. Expect something either today or up to sundown Friday. After that it would be Sunday. Oy vey.

My guess is that Red Sox brass is looking over who can replace Theo, should they ask for compensation and how to handle the obvious media circus this is sure to become should he leave to come here. Not an easy time for Red Sox ownership. If Theo left, his replacement would be a no-brainer. It'd be Cherington, undoubtedly.

That's awesome, but that also leaves open the possibility of Theo deciding to stay to "clean up his mess".

I don't see any way the Bears are gonna get a big name WR while Angelo is around. He did sign the biggest name on the free agent market one year. He has spent a number of 2nd and 3rd round picks on WR. I think he would, I just don't think he knows what he's doing on offense. Are you referring to Moose? And if so, he was the biggest name that year? I remember that he was coming off a really nice year and a decent career, but that's crazy. Yeah, if he means Moose, I disagree. Looking back at the free agents that offseason, Plaxico Burress was the top WR free agent.
