  1. I like the idea of Austin, but as you point out, that means you really have to hit OL hard in free agency. Honestly, OL help needs to be added in FA no matter how you slice it. The Bears aren't likely to get a sure upgrade at 20 on the OL unless Jonathan Cooper is still on the board. Joeckel, Fisher, and Johnson will be gone. Warmack will be gone. And I like Fluker, but he has questions in pass pro and is only a RT (unless they think outside the box and put him at LG), either way that means Webb is still at LT. Any of the top OL worth trading up to get? I think most mocks have Johnson gone by the time you get the Chargers at 11, so you'd have to get into the top 10, and I have no idea how much that would cost, or if it'd be worth it.

  3. Well ok, but I think most of them know that the NHL doesn't have ties.
  4. Here's the vid. http://www.awfulannouncing.com/2013/march/stephen-a-smith-rants-on-ties-in-hockey-which-don-t-exist-anymore.html
  5. @stevelepore The Blackhawks dramatic win to keep the streak alive drew a 1.6 overnight, best ever for a single game on NBC sbn.to/15tvfVR
  6. LOL....apparently Stephen A Smith was on the teevee yelling about how the Blackhawks have 3 ties so that the streak doesn't count.
  7. Good lord. I think one time I was able to barely tip the rim.... http://i.imgur.com/8BhlSeH.jpg
  8. I know this doesn't answer your question at all, but does Noah count as a star at this point? Not sure if he's a star, but considering his skills and fairly reasonable salary, I imagine he'd be in demand if the Bulls wanted to go that route. Oh I have no doubt he'd be in demand. That wasn't really what I'm getting at. There's not many guys I'd trade Noah for at this point. I'm just wondering if Noah can be that second star that the Bulls need when Derrick comes back. Noah has carried this team a lot this season (Boozer's been very strong too), and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do when the D is focused on Rose.

  10. Free agency begins March 12.

  12. If I'm reading this right, we could break the record and clinch a playoff spot on the same night. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Western/Central/Chicago.html
  13. Red Wings forums are full of fans crying about how that should be illegal.
  14. What a [expletive] hockey game.
  15. We've missed a few open nets though.
  16. 3 games in 4 days catching up in the 3rd period?
  17. That was a wild period of no goal hockey!
  18. Yes he did. I didn't catch it, was Crawford the backup? Yes, he was. He was in uniform and wearing pads on the bench. That Toews pass last night to win the game was amazing. Seabrook said he didn't call out and that he never saw Toews look at him, and he had no idea how Toews knew he was there.
  19. Apparently David Aldridge said this last night regarding Rose:

  21. I know it looks like he stumbled out of goal at the end of the period last night, but I saw somewhere else suggest that it was actually his arm. Watching it again, it could just be that he was dangling a hurt arm rather than stumbling. The loss of balance as he was leaving the ice and headed back to the locker room looked a lot more like dizzy/foggy/concussion than anything else to me. FSN Midwest showed that on their broadcast down here. Just looked weird. Ah, didn't see that.

  23. They do? I haven't heard that sentiment in a while. I saw some comments, over in the Hawks thread I think, about people saying the Hawks wouldn't have been able to go on such a run if they were in the east. I know it was only one game, but I was really underwhelmed by both Toronto and Montreal, both of whom are pretty far up the standings. From the PHT comments on the Hawks game:
