  1. The proposed conferences in that realignment would put Chicago in more of a Central though.
  2. I'd love getting out of the West. Hate all those late games. Clowe suspended immediately and indefinitely. Will have a meeting with NHL player safety dept. Could get as much as 10 games for coming off the bench Fri night.
  3. PFF has him #6 on the available LT FA's. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/02/15/ranking-the-2013-free-agents-offensive-tackles/ Certainly appears to be better options.
  4. Bears do have the former Saints OC now... Kromer was the O-Line coach and served as interim HC at the beginning of the season, he was never the OC (although the point still stands). Gah, yeah...I knew that too. Brain cramp.

  6. A few. Perhaps I shouldn't have said it with that type of finality, but I'm not really sure what's wrong with this conclusion. Since Jordan retired, we've tried to sign big names on multiple occasions and struck out pretty badly with stars (Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, etc.). Wish I could find the article, but I remember reading something a while back where agents were surveyed and it was largely verified that most players are not that interested in playing in Chicago. Lebron, Wade and Bosh were a pretty damn unique circumstance that really didn't have a lot to do with "Chicago isn't enticing". I don't recall the exact time frame when the Bulls were pursuring either Hill or McGrady, but wasn't the team pretty crummy when those guys were available? And a name you didn't mention, that we know isn't interested in Chicago, is Dwight Howard, but that guy has been so weird about everything, that I can hardly call him representative of the entire player base. Maybe I'm going to the opposite extreme to excuse things, and I won't say that there's probably not a fair number of players that would prefer to play in other cities, but I think it's more about feeling like Chicago is a place where a championship can be won. And I think there was some question about that when Lebron and co. were FA's.
  7. Well you couldn't let Asik and Taj both walk. We already have no bigs that Thibs is willing to play after Noah-Boozer-Taj. So would you rather pay Asik or Taj?
  8. A few. And then the weird cubbievirus one that you already responded to.
  9. Apparently I just need to avoid this thread today. You guys realize the Bulls are up against the cap, and that it doesn't really matter if Rose recruits top free agents or whatever...we can't afford them....right? It's not like there's some great move out there that the Bulls could do but just won't.
  10. Those are the situations that I'm ok with fighting in hockey.
  11. Loved the pic at the end... http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/209061/1962WrigleyFieldFrontHomeoftheChica.jpg

  13. The overgrown beard trend in baseball is getting out of hand.

  15. Although Emery is starting tomorrow, Crawford has been cleared to play. He won't say whether it was a concussion or not. More on Hossa:
  16. No deals for the Bulls. Talked to Denver about Rip, but nothing....
  17. JJ Reddick to the Bucks. Maynor to Portland.
  18. Leandro Barbosa to the Wiz for Jordan Crawford.
  19. Emery in goal tomorrow. Seabrook is good to go. Hossa "could" play tomorrow. Decision will be made tomorrow.

  21. Apparently Hossa's dad said that Hossa had a concussion from the hit. Not shocking. http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2013/2/21/4013462/marian-hossa-injury-update-chicago-blackhawks
  22. Emery referred to Hester as the Bears returner.
  23. No Urlacher decision yet.
  24. Phil says that Shea will remain at DE.
  25. Emery says no decision yet on Melton and the franchise tag. Carimi could have upside at both guard or tackle. Still evaluating.
