Apparently KC Johnson said on the radio this morning that if he had to put money on it, he'd bet that Rose doesn't come back this season. He thinks that Rose wants an offseason of more work before coming back.

Even that is a convoluted stat. What does it matter if the game was played in a Blackhawks uniform. That isn't an accomplishment. It's a nice long career, but in a league where guys often play for 5-6 teams it's really only noteworthy when somebody like Brodeur plays his 1000th for the same team. There's like 30 active guys with more games played. Plus, they gave him a picture of him with the cup from three years ago that he probably already has. Did somebody run out to the collectibles store and pay $75 for that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NHL_players_with_1000_games_played Right, it would've made a ton of sense if it was a guy that had his entire career with the Blackhawks and hit 1000. But this is what...his 5th team? I like Hossa a lot, and I thought the warmup jersey thing was pretty cool from the guys. But the ceremony was over the top.
