    Even that is a convoluted stat. What does it matter if the game was played in a Blackhawks uniform. That isn't an accomplishment. It's a nice long career, but in a league where guys often play for 5-6 teams it's really only noteworthy when somebody like Brodeur plays his 1000th for the same team. There's like 30 active guys with more games played. Plus, they gave him a picture of him with the cup from three years ago that he probably already has. Did somebody run out to the collectibles store and pay $75 for that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NHL_players_with_1000_games_played Right, it would've made a ton of sense if it was a guy that had his entire career with the Blackhawks and hit 1000. But this is what...his 5th team? I like Hossa a lot, and I thought the warmup jersey thing was pretty cool from the guys. But the ceremony was over the top.

    The NBA announced early Tuesday a "comprehensive global preseason schedule" that involves the Chicago Bulls playing the first-ever game in Brazil. The Bulls will face the Washington Wizards at Rio de Janeiro's HSBC Arena on Oct. 12.
