Made contact with the shoulder first, and didn't leave his feet before making contact. He'd have to leave his feet, and make contact with the head first for it to be considered a dirty hit. -

So apparently Oakland offered Jared Allen a contract worth $9m/yr, and he turned it down for the Bears, because he didn't like Oakland's QB situation, liked the idea of staying in the NFC North, and liked the Bears offseason moves.

It was a regional NLRB director. Not sure how an appeals process works...if it goes to a higher director at the NLRB, or if they have to go to the court system now?

Which makes sense if he's rushing the passer. But they could still tell him to bulk up and move inside. I guess we'll see. Nah, you don't pay a guy 35Mil (more than Allen, FWIW) based on what he's done and then tell him to put on 30lbs and change positions. Except he's played inside with the Raiders. You're not asking him to play a position he's not played before. Or at a weight he hasn't played at before.
