Need to keep Morin in the line-up, too. At least ride the hot streak out. -
It'd be about perception. Fans that think the game is currently too long might reactively check out a shorter game. It's less subtle than other attempts, and thus more attention getting. any one inning will last just as long, if not longer. You won't get rid of the 25 man roster, and will still have a lot of relievers. The manager can come out in the 4th/5th and change relievers repeatedly for matchups, slowing everything down. Plus, it would be ridiculously low scoring. I wasn't really arguing for it. Just saying, I can see some potential for it bringing in fans. But I think there's too much downside.

Are you talking about the graphics that start the broadcast? I mean...my 7yo notices that stuff, but I could care less about it. I remember the mid 80's openings too, but that's because I was 7yo at the time. So you care about it? Son of a....

However connected you think Levine might be, he calls out specifically that it's not a source of animosity in the article, but just a factual disagreement on the valuation. I guess I should've read all the words.

Ok, well that's obviously a decent reason. I just didn't know if the Cubs did something specific that he took personally or something...if there was some bad blood there.

So, why does Shark want out so bad? Is it that the Cubs won't pay him what he wants, or is there another reason?

De La Puente at C, Garza at RG. Long at RT is probably a remote possibility. I'd hate for them to move Long's position so quickly and Garza was worse at OG than he has been at OC. But I'd guess it's something that's on the table. I'd rather they make this move early, so long can have a full offseason to be at RT, rather than have to make a change in the season.
