  1. He's talked plenty of non-football already. He's not an expert in other sports, of course, but he's perfectly capable of watching them, talking about them, and asking the right questions.
  2. Noah had surgery during the offseason, and the thought was that he'd be ok for the season, but it was acknowledged that it's still a problem, and he's going to be having to fight it all season. Apparently there's swelling after games...it's going to be a rough season for him. EDIT: All that said, Thibs says they're more worried about his ankle right now than his knee.
  3. Taj out too. This game is quickly losing my interest.
  4. Grobstein is just as dumb as his callers.
  5. Illness though, not injury at least.
  6. 1) Yes. I'm pretty sure the producers actively seek dumb people, but they don't have to look hard. Sports talk radio callers are the worst. 2) Absolutely yes. It's their thing. Most deserve it, but it gets them ratings, so yes. To #1, maybe they occasionally try to get the fun-bad callers on the air, but I'm pretty sure it's just the fact that the majority of people who would call into any radio show are criminally dumb, which you alluded to. Other shows don't get the same level of stupidity. I mean, there's dumb callers on all shows, but B&B get the really special ones.
  7. Dec 29th can't come fast enough.

  9. I think if Emery stays, Cutler stays. I don't think Emery gets rid of a guy that he signed to a big extension...that's admitting a big, big mistake.
  10. Yeah, firing Lovie wasn't the mistake.
  11. Um...so has Jay from all reports. Whatever.
  12. This coaching staff is a joke. The QB's sound so professional and it's bookended by these morons.
  13. He was shocked and didn't see it coming.
  14. This Clausen press conference is boring.
  15. We're starting a guy that hasn't started in 4 freaking years....I mean...wtf
  16. I want a successful Bears team with Jay Cutler. *sigh*
  17. Cutler for head coach.
  18. He's blaming Cutler. Jay is the only one specifically being called out.
  19. I wonder if Trestman is insane enough to think he can put Cutler back in this year? Maybe he's trying to send a message?
  20. Oh man...I don't wanna root for an injury, but I kinda am, cuz how freaking awkward would that be?
  21. I wonder if Emery could talk Dave Toub into coming back to the Bears as HC? Or is that bridge burned?
  22. Trestman coming up shortly. Then Cutler...then Clausen...then Kromer.
  23. Yeah, pull the trigger here, Phil. That would make the press conference exciting..."Oh my gawd, that's not Marc Trestman! That's Phil Emery's music!"
  24. 2 central and you can hear it on 670wscr :hello: actually I think that is trestman and cutler is after him. Correct...normally Trestman goes after, but even that was too awkward for the Bears.
  25. They are still going to have Jay do a press conference this afternoon. lolbears
