If so, there'd be even less incentive to attempt to improve the best team in baseball by a wide margin. Right...I mean, you have to take advantage of your opportunities, but in the same breath, the whole goal of the Cubs "rebuild" was to build a team that could dominate the division for years, and get a lot of playoff opportunities. A deep pool of young talent is instrumental for that. I hate to sacrifice very much of that at all for 2nd lefty in the pen.
