    I never did manage to perform the spinning piledriver, even against a non-moving player. I'm pretty sure it was impossible to do in an actual fight.

    Remember that one time when someone laughed at the idea that Almora had speed? i remember when someone found it funny to mention someone who's speed has always been talked about as a knock would be put on the playoff roster for speed like he's billy hamilton or quentin berry or something coming in to steal a base down 1 in the 9th. Heh, yeah...just was amused since that statcast video came so soon after that conversation.

    do they still do that thing where the beer/food is cheap if you arrive early? You know, they might. We got there early on Saturday and our food was cheaper than menu price and that confused us. "Early bird pricing" was the only conclusion we came up with.

Because what happened on monday is irrelevant to what happened (or didn't) last night.

    for me it's hard to choose between the broadcast going to great lengths to not point out who (Birnbaum) made the horrendous giveaway on the 3rd goal, or the color guy showering Klinsmann with adulation for only wasting a full half on Wondo before inserting Pulisic into an already decided result I vote for "audio is still 1-2 seconds ahead of the video as it has been for the entire tournament" That was driving me nuts early on. Live sports are hard.

    BTW, my favorite moment in the game last night was when Wondo got a yellow card and the FS1 graphic said that #18 Ashlyn Harris got a yellow card.

    In 20+ years of watching soccer, I can't remember any have a tumble of that velocity off the boards. Really sucks for him especially in a game that was easily in hand and he could have just let the ball sail. I don't even know why he was going for that ball that far OB.
