Yeah, somehow that eluded me the first time I read it. Also I forgot that all the games are being played at the same time on Sunday. That could really be fun if these teams stay close.

The Cards attendance has been low the whole second half of the season...the tickets were sold, so the numbers look ok, but photos show a ton of empty seats for the last two months. I highly doubt the debate was a factor. All three teams suck. The Giants have tanked, but the Cards haven't exactly been better.

It was completely over the top and ridiculous and hilarious and awesome. Yeah, I didn't word that well. It wasn't the over the top part I was really arguing. Just that some Cubs fans didn't seem to like that.

It's even funnier cuz he's clearly looking up at the giant screen on the scoreboard and that's why he didn't try to get out of the way.

Stop me if you've heard this before...the PIrates got into a bench clearing brawl because of a play involving Jung Ho Kang and the only player ejected was Sean Rodriguez.

I totally get why Cardinals fans, and even other non-Cubs fans would think the Ross tributes were over the top last night. If you weren't a Cubs addict this year it could definitely seem pretty ridiculous. But I don't get Cubs fans, especially ones from this message board, not appreciating that last night. Reading through this game thread, I see those that thought it was over the top...and I don't get it. Guys, this game means almost zilch for the Cubs. They have another week left of meaningless baseball. That the Cubs, and the fans, could/would spend time honoring the last regular season home game of a guy that, somehow, made this season decidedly more fun than a "normal 100 win season" would be, is fantastic. All the more so because it was against a Cardinals team to whom that game was actually important, because it would irritate that fan base. Enjoy because Ross is a super fun person, because he had a great season, because the Cubs had a great season, or the shadenfreude of the Cardinal fans hating it. Whatever works for you, but it was all glorious.

He wasn't driving. and no alcohol or drugs. They were going too fast and didn't see the jetty.

The boat flipped onto rocks. Two of the bodies were found floating in the water next to the rocks, and one was under the boat. Vests weren't the issue.
