  1. Without the name change, I wouldn't be the leading poster here. You still would be by almost 9000 actually.
  2. surprised they kept going after russell after going 3-0 instead of just putting him on.
  3. Did they do the Rizzo charging, Zobrist at first bunt defense? That's really been working!
  4. He half-assed two balls in the dirt. The first let the run score, the second let Rizzo go to third, which caused the IF to come in, which let Zobrist's ball to get through for the third run. Ah, that 2nd one was the info I needed.
  5. let a low slider go right between his legs which allowed a run to score Oh, ok...that happened a few batters back though...I thought something more recent.
  6. Fair enough. Proceed. on a similar note, when you referred to "tampering expectations" on twitter, what's the inside joke? Touche.... tempering expectations, obviously.
  7. Sorry, but is this a mistype or intentional? I gotta know if you thought that was two words. mistype, here's proof of me using it correctly in the past (strangely also about Strop) viewtopic.php?f=2&t=851&p=80645&hilit=intact#p80645 Fair enough. Proceed.

  9. If you wanna argue that Belichick is the best NFL coach ever, have at it. But arguing across sports? There's far, far too many differences to make any kind of reasonable comparison. My entire premise is that football coaches are, far and away, more important than in any other sport, at least the major US team sports, and if he's the best there, he has to be the best out of all of them. And your entire premise is ridiculous. I'm not diminishing his abilities, but, just to point out one flaw in this argument, he coaches FAR fewer games every year than coaches in every other sport. Again, just argue for him being the best NFL coach ever and be happy with that.

  11. Ugh, I really dislike Sheehan. http://i.imgur.com/lU9ySUf.gif
  12. The Fire don't even belong in the same league as the Sounders. Horribly run franchise. We went to DC United last year and it was great. No one in my family follows soccer except me but we all enjoyed it. Honestly, after that Fire game, if I'm gonna get my family to go to another soccer game it's likely gonna need to be USMNT or USWNT.
  13. As opposed to all the ways we get knocked out of the playoffs that you won't lose your horsefeathering mind?

  15. I think what we're saying is that it's time for a rat to drag Vin down the stairs.
  16. His overall point may be valid, Pompei is kinda terrible.
  17. About a month ago I took the family to a Chicago Fire game. Did not measure up to the experience you guys had in Seattle.
  18. Honestly, genuinely, truly, don't care a lick. None of these teams are any good, and while freaky things happen in the playoffs, I don't really see where any one has a better chance against the Cubs than any other.
  19. Not really about the flip here...but Bautista is still king of the homer "style" award... [tweet] [/tweet]
  20. For funsies, the PIrates are only 3.5 games back.
