    I was wrong about Schwarber struggling against Kluber, and I'll be happy to be wrong about Soler, but what about his last 2.5 months of baseball makes you confident he's going to not go 0-3 with a K and struggle in the OF? Maybe he will. It's baseball...and that happens. But you've been down about just about every decision the Cubs have made here recently. Maybe it's time to trust that they know what they're doing.

    Yeah, please don't compare Schwarber to Gronk -- that comparison is horrible. Schwarber has charisma and heart. Gronk is just a complete buffoon who reminds me of Rodman ... So screaming "suck my dick" after getting a hit isnt a little buffoonish? No...it's a joke among teammates.

    It makes me sleep better knowing that I have all my hair and less grey beard than old man Rossy I actually am looking forward to the touch of gray/salt and pepper look in my hair/beard. poor man's george clooney comp likely I'm not quite 40 and have had that going on for the last 5-10 years. The novelty wears off.

    For fun I was checking to see if any our catchers played enough games this year to even qualify for a gold glove. I think Miggy barely qualifies.

    What? No...they are not going to bench Javy. If they get medical clearance for Schwarber to play LF it would not surprise me to see them self-compromise by saying they'll play Heyward and shade everyone left so that Schwarber has to cover as little ground as possible. They aren't going to sit Zobrist in that scenario. I would prefer they not bench Javy, I'm just speculating on a thought process. With the soft contact our pitchers get, the infield defense that Baez brings is more valuable than what Heyward brings. If you play Schwarber in the field, you're basically saying "offense is more important than defense right now." I strongly doubt Schwarber will play, but if he does, I'm confident it will be at Heyward's expense.
