    this has been a good 2 1/2 hrs tho... As long as the Yanks lose, it can last 9 hours... I won't stay up for it...but it can take that long :D

    The Bull was always my favorite too. Didnt Palmerio take his place, not Gracie! Gracie took over after Palmerio. Anyways, as a kid i had that SI cover with the Bull on it hanging in my room for several years. You could be right about Palmerio, but I wasn't exactly avid back then, so Grace was the victim of my misplaced rage...heh.

    OMG I missed Leon Durham day!! Leon was my favorite Cubs player for a long time as a kid for no particular reason. I remember being very upset with Mark Grace for a long time because he took Leon's job. I got over it.

    Enjoy the game. How's it to be back in Illinois? Hope all is going well for you and your family post-move. Thanks...it's really good to be back. Better job, closer to Wrigley (always important), and hopefully after we save up for a month or two, we'll be able to buy a house... We're both pretty pleased. :D

    So I can't get the game on TV here, and I just now decided to get on the computer and pop up gameday...and I see walker sacrificing, and I just knew the uproar that would create in here. And rightly so.

    Perhaps the same strategy could be used on players who miss signs? Or Managers that pinch hit Jose Macias for Ronny Cedeno?

    Not necessarily. They could trade Walker in the off-season and start Cedeno there... But SS would be a more likely possibility I would imagine.

    I read this one just now, and came straight over here cuz I knew someone would've been all over that one. Even in his advocacy of walks though, he had to throw "I'm not a walk man" in there....classic.

    There are times I really wonder what Bobby Cox and his staff could do with the Cubs....

    The Score update just said that the Cedeno was called up and will start at SS and Perez will play 2B today. Nomar apparently went to Baker and suggested that he play 3B. Nomar took grounders there this morning. Also Lawton is batting 2nd today. Hairston will be leading off, and I assume playing center.
