  1. Um....the story isn't on latimes.com anymore.
  2. Let's move all further Furcal discussion here: Premium Non-Premium
  3. Ok guys...let's keep on topic here. The Hooters joke was funny, pictures have been posted...fun has been had. Let's move on.
  4. FWIW, the LA Times is owned by the Tribune Co. And yet the Tribune isn't reporting it yet.
  5. Mor typoes wuld add mor werds tu thu leest. :D    La plus perdue de toutes les journées est celle où l'on n'a pas ri. (Nicolas de Chamfort) - (a day without laughter is a lost day) "What is that you are saying?" - Steve Martin
  6. But the Packers were actually good that year. They went to the playoffs. Not so with this Packers team.
  7. No prob.... Premium Non-Premium
  8. I agree completely. I know it's deeply ingrained to fear the Packers, but I just don't see Lovie not having this team prepared for GB. Maybe I should be worried, but I'm not.
  9. There is almost zero chance of the Packers scoring 31 points.
  10. So far what I've noticed is that posts are getting an Error:500 Internal Server Error message, but they are going through. Edits don't seem to work though.
  11. Fox Sports QB rankings. Makes you think...where would we be if we'd gotten Kurt Warner during the off-season. Wasn't there some interest there from the Bears?
  12. Premium has that feature. Probably my favorite one too. Inside of a thread? How do you use it? Just click the orange note next to the thread title. non-premium kind of has that feature, but it takes you to the most recent post at the beginning of your session. Wow....I did not know that.
  13. I'm coming around a bit to the way you guys are thinking on this. I think part of my hesitancy is that frankly I haven't seen Grossman play. Having been in the great state of Idaho, we didn't have many Bears games televised there, and we didn't even get to see the preseason games much downstate, so I just don't have a grasp on how well the guy can play. I don't remember a lot of excitement with him when he was drafted, and I've never really thought he was exactly the "QB of the future", while I have gotten that vibe about Kyle from the coaching staff and the team (though admittedly, it could just be them saying the right things). If Rex really does make this team better, I'm all for it. I'm not sure he'll be out there for the Pittsburgh game with the way the coaching staff is talking about their belief in Kyle and his performance though. I do suspect though that if that last game against the Vikings doesn't mean anything (we have HFA clinched because of tie-breakers or so have no chance at HFA because of tie-breakers), then perhaps we'll see them get him on the field then. In fact there'd be no reason not to. NFL coaches have a tendency to take the "safe" route, and I think they view Kyle as the "safe" route here.
  14. This is where you lose me in these discussions Goony. You show all these stats where Orton is so terrible, but you don't have any stats to back up the above statement. Grossman hasn't done anything any better than Orton so far in his career, and I just don't know how you can be so sure that he'll be better... Please note that I'm not saying that he won't be better, I just don't know how you can say it with such certainty.
  15. Best...transactions forum thread....ever.
  16. Also on the Orton topic, a very good article from Greg Couch...
  17. Heh...the anti-Orton camp should love this... Referring to Orton...
  18. This should spark some discussion....from the ESPN Primetime HQ chat...
  19. It doesn't help that they didn't really throw one deep ball all game. When the defense can key in on a 15-20 yard bubble it's probably harder to be accurate. The interception was a reasonably deep pass....30 yards or so. And it was also a stupid route and a bad play by Gage. I would *love* to see them run a post pattern just once. Or maybe a couple crossing routes downfield, but Turner obviously has no faith in Orton. If they are going to play Grossman, then that decision has to be made early in the week so he can practice an entire week. I'm not keen on counting on a guy who hasn't played an NFL game in 14 months to come in off the bench and produce. I'm not arguing for a change right now. I do think they'll stick with Orton this season...I don't think they have a lot of faith that Grossman can stay on the field, and they don't want to bounce back and forth on QB's. But I'm also less confident that Orton will win the job over Grossman next season...
  20. Come on Fox...gimme NY-Seattle instead of GB-Philly... :P

  22. Other than last week, they've all been pretty ugly, no? :D
