  1. This makes me cry. I had Oswalt and D-Lee on my fantasy team. Good thing it's a keeper league, but I'm not please with how it's affecting my season this season.
  2. and Julian Tavarez and Travis Harper and Jose Valverde Gagne. Are you guys being serious, or making fun. I really cannot tell. My point is while not ignoring that usage exists, trying to speculate who did or didn't use is pointless because no one can tell. I thought we were just tossing out frequently injured guys...I surely wasn't be serious.
  3. I've decided that Cuban should just buy the Tribune... :D
  4. and Julian Tavarez and Travis Harper and Jose Valverde Gagne.
  5. There's a Hill thread in the Minor Leagues forum about that... http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/viewtopic.php?t=32550 viewtopic.php?t=32550 :)
  6. None of them have ever been in my kitchen. And goony pulls a Clavin. And now, despite no avatar, I have a mental picture to associate with goony.
  7. Wait what did you say again? I wasn't listening.
  8. I still remember seeing my first Playmate born in the 80's, that was awkward. Me too. I'm happier not looking at birthdates. I don't like to wallow in the negatives like you people.
  9. I think you should be required to keep him for the 3 year entirety of the keeper league.
  10. People that change their avatar too much don't qualify. :P Whatever Snoopy! I'm completely ok with this association.
  11. People that change their avatar too much don't qualify. :P
  12. I'm not going to look for things that don't exist. You're the one making the accusations without anything to back it up. Let me repeat. Who is not giving credit to Jones for his hitting? He's hitting great. No one is disputing this. You're arguing against a point of view that does not exist.
  13. If you guys want to start a thread about whether or not St Louis is racist, go ahead. But don't hijack this one plz.
  14. There's a thread on this here: http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/viewtopic.php?t=32452 viewtopic.php?t=32452
  15. Please point out this person/persons, and the post/posts that indicate this point of view. Because to be honest, I don't think it exists. *crickets*
  16. Nate just told me he's never heard of you. Has anyone else formed a mental picture that Is_Pedro_There looks like Earl? yes Absolutely. Also NCCF is a red alien. I'm convinced.
  17. Where are you guys keeping track of this?
  18. Please point out this person/persons, and the post/posts that indicate this point of view. Because to be honest, I don't think it exists.
  19. Um...what does the bolded section have to do with Rich Hill? Glendon has career 4.94 ERA, a record of 59-91, 1561 hits allowed in 1350 2/3's innings. He has had one, one season under 4.00 ERA. What's he proven as a starter?
  20. I feel compelled to do this. http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/viewtopic.php?t=32550
  21. Thanks for the giggles...you failed to mention defense here which is where Grudzielanek has it ALL over Todd Walker. OPS alone is not the way to judge a player. You must look at the COMPLETE player...but I know how you stat geeks are. Oh and it helps that Grudz knows how to keep his yapper shut and play the game hard. Character guy... What a huge loss for the Cubs when they lost Grudz. Hooray for generic accusations!
  22. I've been pretty consistent. I blame MacPhail, Hendry and Baker. And the standings don't exactly disagree with me. The Pittsburgh Pirates (yes, THE pittsburgh pirates) have won 1 less game than the Cubs. If Jacque Jones hit 52 homers and drove in 400 RBI this week, it wouldn't change the fact that past performance did not dictate giving a mediocre OFer a 3 year deal to play in what should be one of the most offensively productive spots in the field. Period! Do I have a personal grudge against Jacque Jones? Absolutely not. Do others on this site have a personal grudge against Jacque Jones? Who cares? I hope Jacque Jones becomes the greatest baseball player that ever lived. It's NOT Jacque Jones that people have an issue with (unless he continues running bases like Moises Alou and goes back to hitting like Neifi Perez). It's the guy who gave him a 3 year deal that people have issues with. And the Cubs establishment of their 95m payroll in 5th place in the standings really doesn't make people want to get excited about Jacque Jones. Though I do wish him continued success. What's the difference? If he is playing this well, I think we should mark it as a solid signing for Hendry. Jones was part of a very mediocre free agent outfielder class this year, so he was going to get paid. Be thankful we didn't get Encarnacion or Wilson instead. So if he doesn't produce in the last 2 years of his contract, is it still a solid signing? He's playing this well now...and that's great. But many of us don't expect that to continue over a 3 year period. That makes it not a solid signing.
  23. Hooray for generic accusations!!
