So, is there more significance to winning the Gold Cup other than just that particular trophy? Does it give them a leg up somehow in other tourneys down the road?

None of the USMNT European players were involved with the Gold Cup, so they could train and prep for the beginning of their club seasons. That includes Yedlin, Brooks, Cameron, Fab, Pulisic, Wood and Chandler. I think Lichaj was the only Euro player called in, specifically to evaluate his potential going forward. Gotcha, thanks.
