Too many people don't watch hockey. I know the name Sidney Crosby, but I know a lot of other hockey names too, and frankly other than "he's supposed to be good", I don't know jack about him, or most hockey players. I voted for LT, as I really think pitching is more important in fantasy. While RB's that score TD's are HUGE in fantasy.

It's because we so desperately WANT to be satisfied with this team, when the truth is that we never are, and likely never will be. Look at the Bears...as much fun as we had this year, there's still a lot of dissatisfaction with the team...the defense didn't play well against the Colts, or Grossman stinks, or the coaching doesn't adapt...it's just the nature of Chicago sports fans, if not all sports fans. And it's especially the nature of the internet sports fan.

The Bears are really good at defensive drafting though. If they draft Posluszny, I think we can probably safely assume that they are confident that he's healthy. Now I wouldn't have that same confidence with an offensive guy...

If we end up trading Briggs, I suddenly would have a renewed interest in Paul Posluszny in the draft.

I'd have to guess Williams and Wilson would compete with a draftee for the job. What about Leon Joe, or Ayanbadejo?

I hate to say it, but a trade may be the best thing at this point. If Angelo does make a trade, who would replace Briggs?

Is Rocky a given name on his birth certificate or is a nickname from another name? I always wonder how people get named Rocky. I'm not sure about Mr. Cherry, but I know that parents can be very cruel in naming children. I heard of a family where I lived with the last name of Road who named their two sons Rocky and Dusty. I also went to school with Sunshine Monday and Mary Christmas. I knew a pair of girls in school who had some hippie parents...the girls were named Liberty and America (Shortened to Mici). My mom worked for a Vice President of a community college...his name was Dr. Tom Thomas. And finally, a company that I have worked at has a corporate directory, and there's a lady named Tijuana Hooker. -

I'm glad you're willing to wait until next year to judge on free agency, because I don't envision them as being terribly active with free agency this season. Maybe Steinbach if they get lucky, but I imagine the bidding will get pretty high pretty fast on that one. They don't have a ton of holes, and the question areas they're probably going to rely on player development and the draft to fill those. They have spent on free agents in the past few years, btw. Moose and Griese are prime examples, and they did go after Randle El and Archuleta. The Redskins meanwhile spent a ton of money on free agents, and got nothing to show for it. It's clearly less about spending money than it is talent evaluation. And that's where my faith in the Bears organization is right now. They have proven to be very good at spotting and developing talent.

That's fine...but that doesn't make his comment untrue, and doesn't make your analogy accurate. We're talking more like a Zambrano (Bears) vs Rusch (Blackhawks) comparison if you want to make a baseball analogy. Your analogy implies that the Bears poorly run, but slightly better than another poorly run franschise, and that's just not the case.

I dunno if I agree with that given how stupidly the McCaskeys have conducted themselves in the recent past (does any major sports city have as many "ify" owners as Chicago?), but I am very happy that Lovie is getting what he deserves. The Bears have been run completely differently ever since Virginia backhanded her son. I don't know why the national media insists on calling this franchise cheap for honoring contracts and why so many locals still think it's 1988. This is the best run organization in town. They work smart, take calculated risks and spend big when they need to. BTW, that ain't sayin' much. Its like saying that DeRosa is somewhat better than Neifi so we should all shut it and be satisfied. LOL...are you calling the Bears, the team that won 13 games this year, and 11 last year, and went to the Super Bowl.....Mark Derosa? I seriously don't get your beef.

I don't even think Virigina knows what year it is. I'm convinced someone else within the organization is having an influence on football operations(i.e keeping Michael locked down stairs). Possibly the McKenna's? Virginia cracked me up during the Halas Trophy presentation.

Why? Hes the best GM in Chicago. Yeah I have no problems at all with Angelo's deal. Of course Flames24Rulz wouldn't like it....he's a packer fan :)
