TCU's uniforms are hideous. That link doesn't show it enough, but if you see close-up pictures of the pants & helmets you'll see what I am talking about.
Plus it's so risky (probably too risky) to run in that situation given the clock. It's a bit risky, but he had enough time to scramble throw the ball, have the ball get intercepted, and have the person who intercepted it dance around a bit before his own teammate tackled him and there was STILL 1 second left on the clock after (I believe the refs just let the clock run out because I distinctly remember seeing 0:01 on the clock immediately after the play when the SF players were celebrating). Also, it would have been risky to run but less risky than trying to fit a ball through 2-3 SF defenders. Also, the one of the replays showed Bennett standing there at the goal line facing Cutler with a defender about 2 feet to his left. Now I can't tell if theres a defender to his right as well, but Cutler could have easily thrown the ball to his right and hit Bennett for a TD IMO. I have seen a couple of people bring this up in the press. But the least risky thing he could have and should have done was throw the ball away and take one last shot at a play. He still had plenty of time to do that. People are making it seem like it was the very last play of the game but it wasn't. Wasn't there a timeout left, too?
And they would promptly hang up on you. If offer up: 1 of Theriot, Marmol 1 of Marshall, Gorz, Shark 2 of Fox, Colvin, Hoffpauir, Fuld, Fontenot or Theriot, Marmol,+ 1 of the other above. Theriot, Marmol, and Fuld works for me.
I want to strangle Lovie Smith with a microphone cord. He spews the same stupid lines after every frigging loss. Angelo, Smith, and the whole coaching staff need to go.
The call should stand unless there is indisputable evidence that he didn't get the shot off. And since there isn't any indisputable evidence to prove it (and don't get me wrong the call could go either way, but they DID rule it good and by definition to overturn it there has to be indisuptable evidence, which there wasn't), the refs decided that the Nuggets "won" this game. By the way it sound after the game, I believe the Bulls will protest this call. Yeah, that was [expletive]. It may have been good or it may have not been good. But there was no way that video was conclusive, which means you have to stay with the original call.
Thats why I prefer to think about it like this: In order for there to be any chance for Lovie to get the can the Bears can't do better than 5-12. The Bears play bad teams in the 49ers, Lions, and Rams. What are the chances we can blow two of those games? The rest is simple, but I worry we're just mediocre enough and Cutler is just good enough to will us a nice 7-9 record. I will bet you eleventy billion dollars that the Bears do not go 5-12 this year.
Tell me why he sucks and why Jim Hendry would continue to be the worst GM in the history of GM's if the Cubs signed Iwamura to play 2B and bat in the 1 hole. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand go!
