  1. http://www.jaredaubel.com/images/cubswinws.jpg I dare you to find something cooler.
  2. Dammit. The MLB TV feed is not working for this game on my iPhone. I tested the A's-Giants game last night and it worked fine. :banghead:
  3. Maybe Elmore was just trying to avoid from announcing to the millions of people watching that the dude just got hit in the johnson rod and couldn't catch his breath. Announcers often try to avoid that injury analysis situation. Did you watch the game? Sorry but that comment makes me think you didn't. He commented on it when he was leaving the floor and then 5 full minutes later brought it back up after he had returned and been in the game for a couple minutes. He was shocked that he was playing because how much pain he looked like he was in when he was leaving the floor. I was watching casually, but I wasn't hanging on every word the announcers said.
  4. Ruined? WTF were you watching? Hit mute if you are so easily influenced by announcers. This was one of the greatest games of all time! Ruined!? And I don't remember him ever accusing anyone of faking an injury.. I didn't say it ruined the game I said it ruined it to an extent (well I forgot the an the first time). I say right off the bat it was a great game. I, however, was distracted multiple times by the color guy for all the wrong reasons. As for whomever said they don't remember him saying he faked an injury I will paraphrase what I remember. "He went out acting like his right hand was really hurt. He was holding his left hand over his right hand and looked like he was in a lot of pain. He's back in now just a couple minutes later and acting like nothing is wrong. I think he was just fatigued." Yes, I remember the dialogue... which is so far away from "criticizing" a guy for "faking an injury". How in the world did you get to that conclusion? Elmore clearly thought he hurt his hand, then he thought he was just tired. He never once said anything along the lines of "I think Kelly took himself out of the game (which he was dominating) because he decided that was a clever time to fake an injury".... This isn't football, afterall. No benefit to faking an injury. And to ZERO extent could that game have been ruined by a color guy. Unless Glen Beck took over the job, theres no way at all that you should let anything anyone says ruin a game like that. I've never been fatigued and had my hand start hurting. Either he was implying that he faked an injury to get a breather or Elmore is a complete idiot who thinks your hand can start hurting when you get tired. Maybe Elmore was just trying to avoid from announcing to the millions of people watching that the dude just got hit in the johnson rod and couldn't catch his breath. Announcers often try to avoid that injury analysis situation.
  5. What a colossal waste of money. Huet should commit hara kiri or maybe even Harry Caray.
  6. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/03/cubs-lee-recovering-from-freak-back-injury.html You can't make this [expletive] up.
  7. Because that's not his ceiling. He would have to change significantly for that to no longer be his ceiling. So I take it you haven't kept up much with this offseason?

  9. He K'd 10 batters, including the first 3 he faced.
  10. Who are these jokers doing the audio broadcast? I want my Pat & Ron.
  11. I won't forgive Soriano unless he hits .350, 50+ HR's, and drives in 150+ RBI's without making an error in the OF.
  12. I guarantee you that Bradley will not see the field for the Cubs this year.
  13. 17-yeard old autistic kid from Chicago has a perfect bracket so far. Purdue fans will definitely want to check out this story. http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/Autistic-Teen-Picks-First-Two-NCAA-Rounds-Perfectly-88916437.html
  14. All this talk about Scott Drew's shadiness is coming as a huge surprise to me after hearing nothing but great things from my parents who personally know his dad. I have a lot of respect for Homer Drew. Scott, not so much. When Baylor was the leader for John Wall it was because they were going to be hiring his coach as well IIRC. They did hire his AAU coach. Lot of good that did them.

  16. What an awful, awful second half for the Aggies. ZERO points outside of the paint. Donald Sloan was not his usual self and neither Holmes or Middleton could give us anything from the outside. 4 out of the last 5 years we have been knocked out of the tournament by 2 points or less. This [expletive] sucks.
  17. We're about two weeks away from the start of the season, yet he still can't throw the ball. Will Chad Tracy be the Opening Day starting 3B?
  18. There is some Illini talk happening here. http://northsidebaseball.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=56931
  19. Is it wrong that I laughed at this?
  20. It will be tough, but I expect to beat Purdue on Sunday. Then we go to our backyard in Houston for the Sweet Sixteen.
  21. Why the eff did Acie Law only play 10 minutes tonight? :banghead:
  22. Stupid longhorns are going to luck into another win. :banghead:
