My old man got to meet Tom Ricketts in Arizona last week. He helped my dad get a picture of Billy Williams autographed. My dad is going to be 79 next month but he sounded like a little kid when he was telling me about it. The picture is of him and Billy from a few years ago and Billy was nice enough to personalize it and bring it over to him. :good:
What a glorious day! I am leaving work early so I can be home for the game. At this point I still have a small glimmer of hope that this may finally be the year. Hopefully I am still thinking the same way come the end of August.
And do you really think most college basketball fans want to see MORE teams from schools they've never heard of before that have ZERO chance of winning the tournament?
Group A: Prince Fielder Group B: Mark Teixeira, Adam Dunn Group C: Joe Mauer, Pablo Sandoval, Joey Votto Group D: Manny Ramirez, Chipper Jones, Aramis Ramirez, Gordon Beckham, Josh Hamilton WILD CARD: PM'd

I agree with this. Harry HATED losing more than anyone. I don't remember any other broadcasters before him calling out lazy, boneheaded players and complaining about bad play. I wouldn't have given him the first statue outside of Wrigley, but I have no problem with it.
