  1. In a week's time it went from probably 90% to Pac-10 to 60% to Pac-10 to we have the votes on the Board of Regents for the SEC. Now our insider says Don Beebe is making a huge push to keep the Big 12 afloat that is actually making everyone rethink their moves. Even still, I expect us to bolt to the SEC. If we don't, I will be pissed. There's no way that if Texas commits to the Big 12 lite, the Texas Legislature will let aTm move anywhere. It's not up to the legislature. The state pours a TON of money into it's schools. It sure as hell will be up to them in the long run. They will threaten to pull money, etc. Look at how Baylor tagged along for the ride to the original Big 12. That was a 100% state government move. The 3 didn't want to take Baylor with them, and nobody in the Big 8 wanted to add Baylor. The state of Texas said it was a package deal, take it or leave it, and they HAD to take Baylor into the original Big 12. At that time, the governor was a Baylor grad and the lieutenant governor was a Baylor law grad. The governor now is an Aggie.

If we don't, I will be pissed. Why? Why would I be pissed? I am sick and tired of Texas bullying everyone else around. There is a reason this conference is a mess right now. They want everyone to bow down & kiss their ring and we have enough power to stand up to them once and for all. I'm sure Beebe has made plenty of concessions to convice the horns to stay that would give them an even bigger advantage than they already have.
  4. And Chip Brown drops the bombshell that Texas is willing to commit to a 10-team Big 12. I think this is nothing more than a PR to make us look like the bad guy when we leave for greener pastures. http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1094038

  6. Texas is afraid to play in the SEC. It has nothing to do with academics. They kept Vince Young and Jamal "Mushmouth" Charles eligible to play 3 years there. They can't be that concerned with academics.
  7. Not surprising, but there was no way A&M would head to the Pac-10 without going at the same time with Texas, anyways. A&M recruiting insider Billy Liucci says he's confirmed through two different sources that Chip is wrong on this one.
  8. God, I hope that doesn't happen. I don't want KU coming after Mark Turgeon.
  9. So who is the most likely candidate for the SEC to pull over along with A&M? If texas pulls a fast one and goes to the Big 10, I expect OU to join us. If not, I'd guess the SEC makes a run at Virginia Tech.
  10. The SEC Commisioner is in College Station today meeting with A&M officials.
  11. Geoff Ketchum, co-owner of Orangebloods.com
  12. LOL. What conference? Without Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M, Beebe has nothing.
  13. Not quite. Substitute Texas Tech for A&M and your statement is accurate. Yeah, screwed that up. Nebraska is going to get a smaller share of the pie at first, but not less than what they're currently getting now. But it sounds like they want to get things going academically immediately. Looks like it's up to A&M now to make their move. Do they go the safe route and join the PAC-10 or do they make the bold move severing conference affiliations with the horns and head to the SEC?

  15. He's the guy who has claimed he's getting his info straight from someone inside the Big Ten office. The summary I posted earlier in the spoiler tags is based entirely on this guy's reports. I'll check again with my sources, but I would be absolutely shocked if A&M ended up in the Big 10 after what I've heard recently.
  16. I wish Texas A&M would hurry up. I can't take much more of this. Where is that quote from?
  17. From what I hear from my A&M sources, there is ZERO chance we go to the Big 10.
  18. Television bans used to be common, but I think they're unfair, not to the team that's being punished but to their opponents. Innocent teams would lose television coverage and revenue.Texas A&M in 1994
  19. OB is a mouthpiece for the texas AD. Don't believe anything they say about A&M. The horns are worried about us going to the SEC so they are threatening to stop playing us in all sports if we go there. They're nothing more than bullies and we are about to call their bluff.
  20. As an Aggie that grew up in Big 10 country, this new development is relevant to my interests.
  21. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
