    Clearly Ryno was groomed for the role by Hendry and if he goes then there is no guaranty that Ryno is the next manager. Is Sandberg as terrible as everyone seems to think? He could be. I just know he has said things about sacrifice bunts in the past and everyone subsequently hated him, but does anyone have actual insights on his managerial style? Just wondering. He thinks players should "respect the game" and "play the game the right way" so people here hate him.

    I guess I'm dreaming, but I was holding out a slim bit of hope that the Yankees/Mets/Red Sox might get desperate enough to trade for Soriano at the deadline. Those teams have the money to blow and Sori's had a very good year. And I understand that Lee and Lilly are in the last year of their respective contracts. With them it would be more passing up a chance to pick up some prospects than a real salary dump.

    I'm assuming that you mean for the delicious pastry, because that's a trade I could get behind. What if it's for Felix Pie and an apple pie? Throw in some ice cream to that and you have a deal! What flavor?

    That's another thing I don't understand. The past few years, it seems as though the Cubs have played significantly better on CSN than on WGN. Broadcast all 162 games on CSN and we're sure to win it all.

    I agree. I think he was too timid to call up LeBron. It's just not his personality. I don't think he didn't want to give up the spotlight here in Chicago because he has never even sought to be the king of Chicago. How is Corey Brewer's defense? I don't know. But I know RONNIE Brewer (the newest Chicago Bull) plays wonderful defense. How is Ronnie Wood's defense?

    I know the All-Star break was in the middle of this streak, but no WGN games between July 8th and the 21st? That's a long stretch right there.

    I'm going to have to see it in-season before I buy it. Hard to tell how it translates to an actual game situation Yeah, that's how I'm taking it too. Though as a Bulls fan I simply can't resist perking up when I hear him say it, even though I must be skeptical as well. But like someone else pointed out, Rose is not one to brag about himself or talk himself up. That makes me feel a lot better about what he said than if it had come from someone else.
