I'm not trying to put down A&M's 2012 team. Just saying, if Texas A&M can come into the SEC after years of being a solid but unspectacular Big 12 program and come within a few missed FGs against LSU of playing for the conference title in year 1, maybe the college football viewing public and media should cool their jets a bit about the SEC being head and shoulders above everybody else. A lot changed from 2011 to 2012 besides Johnny Manziel, including a brand new coaching staff with a dynamic offense that is much more suited to the college game than what Mike Sherman had been running. Give credit to Kevin Sumlin, Kliff Kingsbury, Mark Snyder, Terry Price, Larry Jackson, and the rest of the staff. They have done what NO ONE expected in year one.

Can we stop with this foolish Collin Klein Heisman talk now?

I thank aTm for what they did. People on these boards REALLY love Kansas State! I guess it's payback for 1998, eh? But Manziel better win the Heisman. The only thing Klein has on him is 10-0 vs 8-2. I like Manziel, but he threw three picks and was a big part of losing the LSU game. He shouldn't win the Heisman over Klein at this juncture. Two of the three picks weren't on him, though. And he still threw for about 275 yards. If the numbers were close, it'd be one thing but they're not. Barring any injuries over the next few weeks, Manziel will finish with better stats than Tebow or Cam had when they won the Heisman. Plus we've played a much tougher schedule so far. RG3 won it last year with 3 losses.

Best part about Manziel is that he wanted to go to Texas but Mack Brown would only offer him a scholarship as a safety. That's why he committed to Oregon. Then one of our coaches was at his game to scout someone else. They went back to Mike Sherman and said we have to get Manziel. The rest is history. This is the first time in a LONG time that I am truly excited about A&M football and actually have a good reason for feeling so giddy.

Bears re-signed Josh McCown?

Was the Tuscaloosa crowd hospitable after the game? They were great all weekend. Had one SouthSideRyan-esque wordsmith shout "[expletive] A&M" at us after the game as we were walking into Houndstooth, but that was it. Everyone else was congratulating us on the win and talking about how impressed they were with Johnny Manziel. Amazing trip.

Why would that concern you? Oh maybe I would like to post about my alma mater's football team like everyone else without people whining and crying that no one cares about A&M on here. It's what happened over & over a few months ago so I stopped posting about the Aggies. Now others are posting about them so I guess it's OK if I do too. Now I guess you can go back to your HYSTERICAL schtick of confusing A&M with Texas State or Texas Tech. Start talking about Lubbock when you really mean College Station again like the good old days. So [expletive] funny to see that posted over and over and over and over and over.

Somebody tweeted a picture (that I think Silvy retweeted) of a jam packed Nashville bar and I couldn't find a single Titans fan in the whole place. Guy who took it said he saw maybe 1 or 2.

Dreamland has branched out and has restaurants in many cities now, but the original in Tuscaloosa is a bit more rustic. The menu for the Dreamland in Tuscaloosa is much smaller than the other locations...just ribs, pulled pork, barbecue chicken, sides, and banana pudding. If you like a vinegar barbecue sauce, then you'll probably like Dreamland's. I've heard Epiphany Cafe is pretty good...bit more upscale. http://epiphanycafe.vpweb.com/Dinner-Menu.html. I haven't been to DePalma's, but it's probably the best italian you'll get in Tuscaloosa. It's been about ten years since i've been to bars in Tuscaloosa, so I'm not sure how things are these days. I'll ask a couple of buddies and get back to you. If you think the history of Bama football may be interesting, checkout the Paul Bryant museum. If you aren't interested in the history of other schools, it will probably just be nauseating. I definitely want to check out the museum. Not only do I enjoy the history of the game, I do have a lot of respect for the Bear. He left us to go to Alabama and had a legendary group of players known as the Junction Boys while at A&M. ESPN even did a shitty movie about them a few years back starring Tom Berenger. Let me know what you find out about the bar scene. Thanks. pretty self-explanatory...you get your choice of meat/protein and then three sides to go with. Makes sense, just never heard the term before.

Me too. I'd love to get a Tillman alternate. This site looks janky, but I have ordered jerseys from here and they are legit.
