I'm guessing because the vast majority of secondary market purchasers are getting PDFs nowadays, and they don't want them using the VIP gate. I'm also guessing that the season ticket holder style tickets only go to season ticket holders so they at least know that those tickets originated from a season ticket holder without having to dig any deeper (whereas PDFs could be secondary market or just a single game ticket purchased from the Cubs). I get that but how difficult would it be for a SEASON TICKET HOLDER designation to be on the PDF when transferred?
