  1. Pathetic performance today. Very disappointing.
  2. Stupid NBC cut away from the National Anthem. I hate when the national broadcasts do that.
  3. I love getting you nancy boys riled up. I can't wait for football season to start.
  4. He's in San Diego working with his QB guru George Whitfield again, so I guess the Padres used that opportunity to have a Heisman winner at the game. He took some BP and knocked one out of the park, too. And he shot a 79 at Pebble Beach last week. Kid is a natually gifted athlete.
  5. Whole lotta jealousy up in here this morning.
  6. Just in case anyone forgot, this is the play he is re-creating. http://thebiglead.fantasysportsven.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/ManzielScramblingTD.gif
  7. Weird to hear a Cubs fan say they don't hate the Mets but I guess that's the norm now. I can't really think of a reason for a Cubs fan in his 20's to hate the Mets. Are we supposed to hate the Mets because of '69? I guess; I mean, it's only been about 20 years since they stopped being divisional rivals. I was just "taught" to dislike the Mets as much as the Cardinals when I was a kid and it's always stuck. This. I don't think my dad's hatred of the Mets reached Santo-like proportions, but he definitely instilled a healthy distaste for them in me.
  8. Lighten up, Francis.

  10. Outside of being a Bulls fan, what in the hell could lead you to say they're very beatable? LeBron has been great. Wade is hurt and not much of a factor right now. Bosh is very inconsistent and disappears for long stretches. Ray Allen is old. Chalmers is decent. Norris Cole has played above his head, will that continue? Birdman has played OK. Haslem is nothing special. Battier has not contributed much. Maybe my phrasing of "very beatable" is what you're hung up on. Take out the "very" then. As they are playing right now, they are definitely beatable. Does that mean they will be beat? Not at all. I just think that the unbeatable Heat that we all looked at before the playoffs started are not playing at that level right now. It could be that they took the Bulls lightly because of all the players we're missing. I just can't agree that the team playing the Bulls right now is in any way unbeatable.
  11. The way the Heat are playing now, they are very beatable. With that being said, I expect them to play better as the playoffs progress.
  12. And they're facing a team loaded with legends such as Marco Belinelli, Nate Robinson, Nazr Muhammed, Daquean Cook, etc. Extremely impressive.
  13. Miami doesn't look overly impressive right now save for the one beating they dropped on the Bulls this series. Sure would have been nice to be at full strength as I think this could have gone 7 games.
  14. Saw that Russian youth hockey fight on Deadspin last night. That was awesome.
  15. Punches & ejections coming right up.
  16. This is sarcasm, right? Not at all. how great is it to join in chorus with the greatest singer/songwriter of the 20th century. I went to 2 of the Cubs games at Fenway a couple years ago and I have to admit that "Sweet Caroline" was a fun moment. But I preferred hearing the drunken Sox fans singing "Oh baby Youk, you got what I neeeeeeeeeeed" to Biz Markie when Youkilis would come to the plate.
  17. Woman chokes to death on a hot dog at Wrigley. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-wrigley-field-choke-20130508,0,5549966.story
  18. It's a song they sing after winning games, so I'm not sure why people hate it so much. Exactly. It's pure cheese, but I love it.
  19. Barkley just took a shot at Rose. Shumpert had a sweet rebound dunk and Shaq was commenting on him feeling comfortable when Charles said "Yeah, I guess he has some muscle memory."
  20. Nate Robinson had more stitches (10) than Bosh had points (9) last night.
  21. If I were drawing up the Heat gameplan, I would go at Butler hard early in the game and try to get him into foul trouble. Hopefully that doesn't happen. Well Spoelstra is an awful coach, so hopefully they don't figure anything out. Spoelstra is not an awful coach He's certainly not a great coach.
