    This is why Guzman is going to the pen. The rotation is not the problem. that was my thinking when i suggested it a few days ago. i got verbally stoned for the suggestion. Just verbally? :wink: your right. maybe emotionally as well. i gotta run, hopefully my precence has been bad luck.

    Cliff is assistant manager for today and he didn't feel like getting up there, so he sent Izturis. I'm sending my resume to lou tonight on why i'd be a good "manager for the day", so far under objectives i've got: to not use izturis, ohman, eyre in a baseball game. to use common sense when it comes to managing the game. i figure i'm a shoe in.

    it hasn't happened. lou just said there would be some big changes soon. the rest is just speculation as to what those changes are.

    I wouldn't, if he were moved to the pen i would like him to be used as the number one middle relief option. Many more oppourtunities than a closer. That said, with marmol called up, i would probably like to see if he can take over the middle relief "power arm" role and see what guzman go do as the #5.

    Guzman needs to keep starting. I don't understand the Guzman for reliever suggestions. Guzman has a helluva lot more talent than Sean Marshall. my guzman for reliever suggestion stems from the ML leading 11 losses by our worthless bullpen. I agree he has a world of talent and will probably can be a really good starter. However, he's been just as good if not better as a reliever, why not have him sure up a few victories? just a suggestion, i won't be upset either way as long as he pitches regularly, whether it be starting or relief. Because a good starter is always more valuable than a good reliever? always? I agree that some pitchers are meant to be starters and some to be relievers. But some can do well at both and Guzman has been hit or miss as a starter, while he's been very consistent in his reliever role. Maybe the pen will turn this thing around and the arguement will be moot, but it's just an option i was tossing out there.

    As good as angel was starting yesterday, i'd love to see him as that set up man with weurtz closing. two young power arms is what we need. Isn't Marshall doing pretty well in AAA? 3 southpaws in a rotation is uncommon, but it's worth a shot IMO. you still have a couple of LOOGYs in the pen and i guess howry and dempster could do some mop up work or pitch the 6th or 7th. its time for a major shake up, because i cant take many more games like yesterday.

    I think I might move to Canada.Shes from Quebec I think.Its like every girl from there is smokin plus I've gotten to know two girls from Canada in my life, and hooked up with both of them... so perhaps they're more "accessible" no doubt they are. i'm good friends with that bear in the labatt blue commercials. he pulls crazy chics.
