  1. Sadly, Steve Phillips may be a better announcer then he was a GM.
  2. The cubs have put a hit out on Carlos Lee tonight!
  3. I'm blaming the "cowboy" joe west link you posted earlier.
  4. I'm assuming it is just in case Weurtz implodes in the 8th
  5. Wow Andy, our Theriot posts were almost identical
  6. I keep waiting (not hoping) for Theriot to regress to his norm and it just hasn't happened. He's been a great surprise thus far.
  7. Gerald Perry has done wonders for this team, especially the young hitters.
  8. If 2 lefties are due up next inning for Houston does that mean we'll see Eyre?
  9. He's due up 3rd this inning though. Yeah, if there is a situation when you obviously pinch hit, then that forces your hand for you. I was thinking about if the first two cub hitters are retired. DeRosa just got a hit, I have no problem with using Cedeno here.
  10. Lieber has recorded 5 outs on 14 pitches. Leave him out there for one more or bring in Marmol? I'd personally give Marmol a day off with Liebs pitching like he is.
  11. 1972, Bert Hooton, against Phillies. Wow, I knew it was a while, but not that much. Thanks.
  12. At least he hit this one on the nose. I think a couple of days off and he'll be back in old Lee form by this weekend.
  13. Why are you here?[/quote ahhaha why do you have such a weird array of teams in your sig? and 2 nfl teams? wtf? I thought he was a Bears fan too. And who was a Hornets fan before this year? I was...when they were the Charlotte Hornets.
  14. Why? It keeps the hottest hitter in baseball hitting from his "weaker" side while saving the one lefty reliever for another point in the game. I suppose Lilly's success against Berkman tonight was enough to warrant the move. I didn't say it was a dumb move by any means, I was more questioning why not leave him in until someone reaches.
  15. Rather odd to have Lilly hit for himself just to let him pitch to one more batter :?
  16. Lou is rolling the dice a bit here, I'm not terribly confident about Lilly's next inning. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
  17. Well if that is it for Ted, then 2 runs in 5 innings is not bad at all against this team in this park.
  18. He took a page out of Jason Kendall's book.
  19. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/daw0521/wood721.jpg
  20. I say give Lee one tomorrow and Ramirez Wednesday. Then they both have the team offday Thursday. If I'm not mistaken, I think Bob or Len said Lee would get Wednesday off so that he could have 2 full days off before next weekend's series.
  21. Phew. I was walking back down the stairs just in time to catch McClouth trotting across the plate. Luckily it was from yesterday, but my heart skipped a beat.
