  1. I really hope the Cubs can swing a trade for a 2B - Sanchez would actually work. I wouldn't be opposed to picking up a SS and sliding Theriot over, but it'll probably be even harder to find a legitimate SS.
  2. You're playing the Bad News Bears. That's how. Cause Soto made an awful throw after not really hustling after the ball. It wasn't that bad, just a little low. It wasn't in the dirt by any means. Lilly just whiffed on it. he had his glove up by his chest though... they had a lot of time and there was no need to throw the ball low to get a tag. just a good throw at lilly's upper body would've gotten the out. If he lobs the ball high and Sanchez slides around Lilly then everybody is singing another tune. He could have thrown it probably a little higher, but in the end it was still a ball Lilly should have caught. At least in my opinion.
  3. You're playing the Bad News Bears. That's how. Cause Soto made an awful throw after not really hustling after the ball. According to pat and ron it was a good play and lilly just came up empty? Yeah, it could have been thrown a little slower I guess, but it was certainly could have been caught.

  5. Lilly completely effed that up. Sanchez would have been out by 10 feet.
  6. I have seen absolutely nothing about him since going on the DL, hopefully it really was just precautionary and there isn't anything to report and not that they are trying to figure out what to do with him/what's wrong with him. He played catch the other day, before the Saturday game, IIRC. He said he felt good after. Thanks for the updates
  7. *sigh* A DP, just what the doctor ordered - nice game Rich!
  8. I imagine he goes one more. Lou hates our pen. We'll find out if he hits for himself this inning.
  9. Assuming that's it for Harden, that was a very encouraging outing.
  10. Now that would be worth seeing  Whoops. Just a figure of speech...
  11. Ball 3 is located right down the middle according to gamecast
  12. Ron is so mad. He sounds like he's gonna go down to the field and kick Heilman in the ass.
  13. There's not much in baseball that's more enjoyable than listening to Hawk when the Sox are losing. It really does bring me more joy than it ought to
  14. Has the shelf-life of the weed jokes passed?
  15. This is kind of surprising. Both that there have only been 4 ties at the end of 6 and that they cubs have actually won 3 of them.
  16. could the end result be any worse than the product on the field? fair point. maybe what we need is this team to blow up. remember 2007? we fought everyone and anyone, including ourselves before we made our big run. let's do it again. Exactly. I'm thinking a battle royale? Something along these lines: http://blogs.venturacountystar.com/vcs/dennert/anchorman-1.jpg
