Regardless of tonight's outcome, I still find it hard to believe the Cubs would fire a guy 2 years removed from a World Series title and in the middle of a 4 year playoff run. The only way it happens is if the rift between him and the front offense is irreconcilable.He has 1 year left on deal, if there no interest in extending him, probably would be the best time to bump him and get someone else in now.. Girardi said he wants to manage again

lester is at 56 (i think that is close) pitches through 4. he could realistically go 7 (maybe even 8) and the cubs are down 0-1. that's not even an optimistic take. it's an observation.

just one S and yeah, don't tell me. i'm as frustrated as anyone (everyone?) but i just choose to be optimistic when it's a freaking one run game. it's freaking baseball. things happen. if it was 0-4 i would watch but understand it's over. i still hold out hope for now. maybe it's dumb but whatever.

he's at around 40 pitches and only 8 batters into the lineup. he's not fooling [lots of hitters] and looks to likely not go deep into this game (and more likely to tire earlier). it's not the worst couple of innings if no runs were going to be scored.

i was about to drive to chicago and kill murphy just then. it's so freaking stupid he's in the game. go with a defensive lineup and play heyward if you'd going to sacrifice a bat. pinch hit his ugly ass later when there's a righty on the mound (if even then)

i think it's called excitement. or something like that. some people show it I'm talking about the routine pop out, not the Dahl catch. Go back and watch. He was unhappy with something for some reason probably the piss poor attitude of many of the posters on this board if i had to guess.
