  1. my mom and dad are watching with my mlb.tv account and she's texting now "go solar - let's tie this up!" currently
  2. apparently at MLB level. Len said same thing
  3. god dammit did the strikeout have to literally be the next pitch
  4. jesus god he just got out in front of 99 mph
  5. Castro is so amazing ever since david trimmed him off his sig and i added his lonely figure to mine. the yin and the yang.
  6. pretty much. rondon didn't hit him on purpose but with all the comments the night before and already two batters plunked, it's not much they can do there.
  7. Here's the link I dug up from the source code since it doesn't allow you to right click and save it normally. https://nbcsportsworld.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/150917-cubs-1600.jpg Also, I just noticed Dexter looks like a little kid trying to hold back his excitement from seeing boobs for the first time at a strip club. The Logan, you are the best
  8. The one HR Rodney has given up is the difference between him having a 4.45 FIP and about a 2.80 FIP. Not that the HR didn't happen, but we want to be careful about being too predictive about less than 8 innings, those numbers can change wildly in a short span. TT is the best baseball poster ever, I believe. Generally, as i'm scrolling through threads sometimes I teeter between opinions and then - YEP - TT comes through and makes things logical again. I'm really worried about Coughlan getting any playing time in playoffs for this reason.
  9. That's awesome. I have been to several Cubs games in ATL and there is always a strong Cubs presence. Mixed bag when it comes to the receptivity from Braves fans, but I suppose that's the case for any fan of an opposing team. They were kind of dicks the last time, though. Anyway, also awesome is that my son is 3 months old (+1 day) and it's pretty cool that his first "favorite cubs player" most likely will be from the current core we are seeing today. His first word will probably be "mom" but I'm trying my ass off to make it "cubs".
  10. This. Castro has been on an absolute tear since being relegated as a part-time player and I couldn't be happier for him. He definitely deserved the demotion, but, for a player that has been on this team longer than anyone else (i think), he's taken it all in stride. I just love this team and I'm so happy he's positively contributing for them again.
  11. This'll help I always forget how much I loved Lofton that year. Such a good player, and so damn cool. If he had spent most of his career as a Cub, he probably would have been one of my all-time favorites. This. I [expletive] loved Lofton to death. Also, seeing young Aramis in that video and then thinking about seeing him again in the playoffs as a Pirate makes me sad. And I'm sure it'll be sad for him to lose to the Cubs if the Pirates win the WC game against the Cardinals. :(
  12. Also, the Cubs have won 5 in a row and I love you all.
  13. Every once and a while I watch the HRs from Woody and Alou in that game. Even though I know how it ends, both still give me chills. Same. I hadn't watched the Alou one in a while so pulled it up on youtube from a full game broadcast. God, does Thom Brennamen blow that call or what? I just kept imagining what Len would have sounded like calling that HR. And I have no idea who the other boob is in the booth with Thom but he sucks as well. Any idea who would call the WC game? Not that it matter because the Cubs are going to win the central.
  14. excellent work with your past few posts. but then again most of your posts are always A+
  15. everything was amazing loved how pumped javi and addy were[/quote] this is why i kept re-watching
  16. I LOVE THIS [expletive] TEAM
  17. i can't stop rewinding to watch that play. it's glorious.
  18. OMG RUSSELL!!!!! and lol at all y'all haters worrying about strop!
