  1. I sort of feel like that is what you want, right? SAFE!
  2. thankfully nobody in the cubs organization feels the same Hammel's best start in the past month has been 2ER in 6.1 innings against the Braves. He's been bad for awhile. do you honestly think richard would be better? I mean he's been better lately but that's in part because his stuff plays up in a bullpen role where he can get more on his FB. Hammel is clearly the more talented pitcher. When you don't have better options you go with the best option available (and one that has been dominant in a SP role at some point this year). Castro! Given that there are only a couple weeks left and how long he's been bad, I'm definitely willing to try something else. Cahill is my preference, though. Or, actually, a Cahill/Richard tandem. you (and others here) definitely think more of Richard/Cahill than I do. I'd rather see if Hammel can actually pitch like he did for half a season rather than blindly hope either of them can somehow luck their way into a decent start. agree to disagree, i guess.
  3. if hammel should be benched it should be for the fact his twitter handle is @hammeltime39
  4. rizzo was running like he was pulling a plow
  5. thankfully nobody in the cubs organization feels the same Since July 3rd, Hammel has gone 6 innings a grand total of twice, and both times he was spotted to huge leads. Don't act like its a ridiculous opinion to think Richard could have more success than that. Both he and Cahill have at least earned a shot. Now let's tie this mother up. I will indeed feel that way. Because Hammel has more talent than the two of them combined. You roll with him unless there is a better option. Richard and Cahill are not those options.

  8. normally i'm pretty good at picking up the sarcastic jokes. at best maybe one person i was joking.
  9. the ones about hammel being trash or dumb for making a terrible pickoff throw to turn a possible DP for no runs situation into a run, a runner on 3rd, and no DP when even making a pickoff throw made no sense? i thought they were OK and i was captain save triple H for a while no they were fine. he was a dumbass for making that throw. it was mainly the ones about "let's just have a bullpen day when not a lester/arrieta starter in playoff" posts. which, umfan already owned up to. I mean I get it, it was frustrating, but let's not think that clayton [expletive] richard would be a world beater out there as a starter. (except rondon fan truly does believe that)
  10. i didn't realize there were any other windows in your world #davidisarobotjokes
  11. i mean i, too, was frustrated with the first inning but some of these posts are pretty damn crazy tonight.
  12. the cubs will definitely score way more than two runs tonight. hammel just needs to pull his head out of his ass.
  13. holy [expletive] are you serious? this dude is amazing he never ceases to amaze me by somehow managing to shock me with the ridiculousness of the things he says and it's all genuine I guess it depends on how you define "worst." Was it not the most frustating, at least? Between the bad send in the 8th and Berry getting thrown out by a cold catcher for the first time in 26 attempts in the 9th, the Cardinals had absolutely no business winning this game. We should be 4 back. And if you want to take it farther and count those other 3 BS games, we should be no more than 1 back. The 2nd game of that DH sweep in July was the only game you can argue we "stole" from them, I guess. They've now stolen four. no, not even close. it's the most INFURIATING loss for the rondon fans and skis of the world...until the next time they lose. everyone here on this site was probably pissed for a moment and then you remember it's baseball and that on on top of that, the cubs are actually good this year.
  14. Same here. We got into too big of a hole earlier in the season. We've been busting our asses, trying to gain ground. Valiant effort, but too short. You piece of [expletive] rednecks can have the division this year. But that's it. We are coming for that [expletive] next season and you aren't getting it back. And we are going to stomp your asses in the playoffs. Prepare to have dongs rained upon you. Man, I loved today. I get to watch so few of the games, and I love how invested I was in this, how even after the first inning I knew at the very least they were going to be in it. Everything was just so amped up and intense and it meant something; it [expletive] felt like playoff baseball. It's awesome to be watching REAL [expletive] BASEBALL again. i llke your post
