  1. It might in a short series, but then again he could get red hot in a short series, so I guess in the end you are right. with 12 games or whatever left, what kind of difference does anyone expect swapping aramis and lee will produce? Even if you put Aramis third and Lee sixth or something, how many more runs will those extra 7 at bats be? and what are the odds that whatever bonus we get from those seven at bats is a gamechanger? i just dont see it making a difference, certainly not enough of one to justify dropping the team leader (whatever that means) three spots two weeks before the playoffs. Seems like it might cause more trouble than it would be worth.
  2. because it doesn't make a difference
  3. seriously though, wins are meaningless. i thought we were all better than this. i don't like any one particular stat when it comes to any baseball player, but as far as measuring pitchers, it's near the bottom of the barrel.
  4. Do you really want to increase the chances that OSU ends up in the title game again? Because they would be considered a big favorite to do it if they beat USC. I've gone back and forth on this. I'm trying to figure out the best situation in case Mizzou ends up with a shot for the National Title game. if ou goes undefeated, odds are they play in the nc game. if usc or ohio state goes undefeated, chances are they play in the nc game. who would i rather play, usc or ohio state? hmm, hmm, hmm. go buckeyes
  5. I don't think its that easy to do. The Brewers were told all they needed to do was untuck their shirts, but they haven't been able to do that for awhile either :) do you think the "untuck" thing sort of chicken-and-egged the brewers? all those fat wisconsonites realized that they couldn't untuck their shirts, and because of that, the brewers can't win any more.
  6. sosa did it for years and we never won howry, this is all a bunch of lies
  7. i just dont think people understand that this losing patch doesn't make us any more or less likely to win or lose in the playoffs. the stressing out is coming from people having their illusions of the cubs shattered.
  8. Go college and nfl football
  9. prob 2009 if we're lucky
  10. man, for a second i thought i was in the pujols thread
  11. maybe 70, honestly. a 120 pound closer with a violent delivery and numbers trending the wrong way? where do i sign?
  12. What should we be thinking about? AVOIDING THE OTHER SHOE
  13. an in depth look at his xbh% leads me to believe that he misses his grandmother
  14. to make the Brady injury better, I'm listening to Bill Simmons' podcast while wasting time at work, and Simmons drafted Brady in the first round of his fantasy draft. this column is going to be epic when it comes.
  15. man, milwaukee is choking worse than we are. what an embarrassing stumble to the finish line by everyone involved
  16. Sweet, there's more of us! one more victim Damn... I'm just kidding. getting past texas, ttu and osu will be tough in its own right, and i imagine our (potential) game will be something like 60-50, could go either way.
  17. Sweet, there's more of us! one more victim
  18. a guy on my soccer team hurt himself in a game that day and went to the hospital. we all visited him after the game, so i saw the homerun in a hospital room.
  19. i'm a little shaky about this week too (I always am on long road trips). I think we win, and we're clearly the better team, but I worry about what someone like Locker will do to our defense. We have a habit of letting guys like him just take over a game. You should handle them easily even if the game is in Seattle. Locker is a talent but he doesn't have many weapons surrounding him and your team speed and strength in the trenches should be able to dominate. any hope of making it to a mnc game rest with the d-line. i dont like our linebackers at all and our DBs are only slightly above average. luckily our line is so good that it improves the rest of the d by quite a bit but locker is the type of qb that gives a venables d fits, because once he rolls out our zone defenses will just fall apart like always. i like venables but when we're in a zone, i always feel vulnerable Honestly, you guys are so much better than U-Dub that you could let Locker run all over you (he will have a good game but I don't think he can take over which is their only chance at stealing the game) and still win convincingly. Their defense won't have a chance against Bradford and the other weapons. honestly, that fact is what let me sleep at night before the cincinnati game. this might honestly be the best offense OU has ever had, and that's saying something since we had adrian peterson, mark clayton and jason white all on one team.
