    good call. i was really young, but i was already full immersed in cubdom, so i snuck out and watched the postgame celebration from behind my dad's recliner. when did we clinch? i have this memory of doing it in montreal, and hearing harry caray say "the joy of victory" as the camera showed the cubs celebrating, and "and the agony of defeat" as it showed andres galaragga in the expos' dugout, but i've never been able to remember if it was true or made up.

    i hate the packers a lot, but i find myself feeling pretty happy for aaron rodgers, which disgusts me because he played for cal, too. whatever. AD over 100 yards already, please stay healthy this year.

    Anyone surprised that Owings is the player? I know he struggled this year and was eventually sent down but in many ways, I wish we had him...although I don't know where we would put him. Have him start in place of Marquis? I don't know. And after all, it is for Dunn. jason marquis is a much better pitcher than micah owings

    sarcasm? Lopez is garbage and should keep his mouth shut, but don't be fooled by '07 Lilly. His '08 numbers are much more indicative of what kind of pitcher he is. Lilly's a good pitcher, but I think he was referring to the fact that theodore likes to wear human skin as a blanket

    It might in a short series, but then again he could get red hot in a short series, so I guess in the end you are right. with 12 games or whatever left, what kind of difference does anyone expect swapping aramis and lee will produce? Even if you put Aramis third and Lee sixth or something, how many more runs will those extra 7 at bats be? and what are the odds that whatever bonus we get from those seven at bats is a gamechanger? i just dont see it making a difference, certainly not enough of one to justify dropping the team leader (whatever that means) three spots two weeks before the playoffs. Seems like it might cause more trouble than it would be worth.
