  1. Fair enough. That's why this message board exists. To share your opinions and argue with people who don't agree with them. i don't think it's overdramatizing to not let trade terms be dictated to you by a guy with his back to the wall we'd have to say bye to pie, vitters, marquis, derosa and marshall + assorted filler to facilitate this trade. i'm not saying that peavy isn't worth it, i'm saying we should be able to get him for less. obviously im not privy to what all went down, but it seemed like the further along the trade talks went, the more elaborate the demands got. i would have told towers to f himself, too.
  2. i'm not going to sweat not getting this deal done right now sure, maybe derosa shouldn't be the deal breaker and neither should sean marshall, but there's a cumulative effect. If the other guy is demanding a 6-for-1 or whatever, that's an instance where sean marshall is the straw that breaks the camel's back, so to speak. You want sean marshall and derosa? fine, but you can't have them and five more freaking players. this isn't madden.
  3. i think it's pretty clear that right or wrong, meph always loses
  4. let's just say that tebow isn't into that kind of stuff if you know what i mean (i'm saying he's homosexual)
  5. I hear Bob Howry is a Free Agent... anyone have a scouting report on this kerry wood guy
  6. if that's the case, aren't you a little concerned about him sucking ass in every playoff game he's started? all 9 2/3 innings? no. Plus play-in game. oh right, all 17 innings. yeah, now im concerned
  7. if the whole issue with the deal falling through was that the padres wanted a 6-for-1 or 7-for-1 or whatever, then the deal is going to fall through with everyone. no one is going to give up seven cuckolding players for jake peavy. it doesn't matter if peavy agrees to waive his ntc in full, he's not going anywhere if towers is demanding 7 players. and if it gets to the point where towers has to lower his demands, well, we're back in front because it's clear that hendry and towers like each other.
  8. the next time someone tells me that a deal is done and just waiting to be announced or whatever, im going to kick him right in the cuckold
  9. and i'd vote for mccoy. i said it in another thread somewhere but texas doesn't have one offensive player that would start at ou. mccoy has been their whole offense. i can't remember what other thing i was going to argue, but it was probably about some stupid thing that meph said. notice how texas isn't in the title game and he's now officially off their bandwagon completely
  10. not to get all meph on you but until the missouri game we had been outscored in the 4th quarter and bradford had set on the bench for a total of 8 quarters.
  11. Come on SI curse!!! was that picture taken before or after he got kicked out of the special teams huddle for being a lunatic?
  12. haha, i hope mccoy wins the heisman
  13. I thought he was in Japan edit: Beaten HOT DOGS
  14. mahmoud abdul rauf imo but curry is a patriot so he'll stand up for the national anthem and he can tie his shoes in one try
  15. i guess it's a valiant attempt or something, i just dont see the point. anyone who cares what the mathematical formula for EQA is is not going to think about looking it up on nsbb of all places but more power to you, roast
  16. he's clever enough with the ball and he has a quick enough shot to get it off in the nba, at least i think he does. if you look at him and then look at jj redick when he came out, who looks like a better prospect? curry by a mile, because he can create his own shot and he looks like he might actually be able to run the point. I think he looks like a less muscular version of Ben Gordon. Quick with a quick release and a great shot. if you take ben gordon's strength away, he wouldn't be nearly the same player, though. and i don't think that curry is very quick at all, at least not nba quick. really? he seems really quick to me. maybe it's as much cleverness and body control as quickness, but i think he can hang in the nba in that department. the only thing is he's going to have to be able to shoot a high percentage in the nba, cause he won't be able to defend bigger point guards at all. i could see him as kind of like the kevin martin of point guards, maybe.

  18. Why do that when I can do it here? Can't search, but as long as the most important stats are here, that's all that matters. is there really a clamor for deciphering the ever important "game score" or "stolen base runs"?
  19. Seattle is 21st in the league in run defense that's all i got
  20. it may not even take an injury if his peripherals keep deteriorating. he's got a lot of mileage on that arm and body considering he weighs like 114 pounds
  21. fontenot? i'm surprised we haven't heard about more teams inquiring about him. I got the impression Hendry was shooting down inquiries on him pretty quickly. Good. This ish is so up and down back and forth that i haven't been paying too much attention to it.

  23. i have these same three RBs going against you this week in our keeper league. i think jackson has a big game this week.
