  1. Where are you seeing Gordon to Detroit is done? All I keep seeing is hes visiting there today and could get offer, but nothing about him signing. sorry, i should have said that that's the prevailing opinion.
  2. gordon and villanueva to detroit. A lot of SFs on that team, though I guess Daye can spend all season in the nbdl/a steakhouse. Thunder are in early talks with Gortat and Millsap
  3. there are times when im ok with "small ball" or "ozzie ball" or whatever, but those times are few and far between. Looking at one diamondbacks season where they won the world series isn't enough to be all "well small ball works." Three years after the world series win, the DBacks scored just over 600 runs with Brenly managing. I guess small ball doesn't work. Or maybe it's not that simple and "runs scored" is more reliant on the talent on your roster than what kind of strategy you employ. Either way, giving away outs too often just doesn't seem like a good idea at all.
  4. oh, today apparently. i thought for a minute there i was way behind.
  5. when the hell did lastings milledge join the pirates
  6. Yeah but I'd rather his OPS be OBP-heavy than SLG-heavy. We need guys like him getting on base, not cranking HRs. I agree I would rather have Theriot, who will most likely be batting 2nd the rest of the season, having a OBP strong OPS and not a SLG strong OPS. Theriot's OBP is what .335 right now? I would much prefer he went back to his slap hitting, going to RF, working the count ways and had a OBP around .370-.385 and SLG about .100ish points less. yeah but i don't think you can assume that pitchers are going to keep walking theriot 73 times a year if he is just a singles hitter. yeah. the fact that his OPS is the same as it was last year (thereabouts) is mitigated by the fact that it's buffered by a handful of fluke home runs early in the season. I'm not saying that you can take those HRs from him, but going forward, if all things stay the same, he's going to fall behind last year's numbers.
  7. man im gonna miss T.O.

  15. that's what i thought, i was like "what the hell"? Man, Blair must have failed an AIDS test or something. Taj Gibson over him?
  16. oh wow, we got mullens instead, that works
  17. i looked up some beaubois stuff last week when he was first rumored to us and I like him a lot. Last year he got a lot of buzz before he finally pulled out.
  18. Ugggggh, I don't know who I want now. Blair off the bench? We really needed a 5.
  19. they dont have a lot of minutes/roster space left, so they needed a guy to leave in spain for a year or two
  20. maybe that's why they took flynn (or lawson). If rubio wont play, they trade his rights. if he does play, well, they have a talented backcourt i guess
  21. oh god, let mullens fall to 25
  22. wow, jazz and Hornets both pick back-up PGs, odd.
  23. interesting, how many minutes will he ever get behind D-Will? portland has to go with Blair here Oops, I guess N.O. picks next, I guess Mullens then
