  1. ahh, there we go. sulley, your move.
  2. that's right rays fans. don't get excited about evan longoria just yet, he's only had 2 major league seasons. He blows out his acl or elbow and in five years you will go "Evan who" i like how you threw "or elbow" in there too, since you didn't know if longoria was a hitter or pitcher
  3. i still don't buy it. ever since lebron signed that last deal in cleveland, the talk was that the cavs' best hopes were that they could offer him substantially more.
  4. we can all live in metropolitan moline, illinois
  5. I know you're just kidding around but pshhh, that can be applied anywhere. hey free agents, come on down to oklahoma city! we've got kevin durant! He doesn't pass! Don't forget about big man .... uh, we don't really have a big man! Also, we're a playoff team, we got the 6-seed! You can't find an open restaurant in town on Sundays! Did you know that Nick Collison is still in the league! we're in the western conference! it's easy to get to the top here! oh crap i've made a horrible mistake!
  6. i'm confused, is it not a widely-known fact that a team can offer their own FAs more than other suitors. my head is spinning right now
  7. hey free agents, come on down to chicago! we've got derrick rose! He doesn't pass! Don't forget about big man joakhim noah! He has foot problems! Those always heal up 100% on big men! Also, we're a playoff team, we got the 7-seed!/We've got a lottery pick! It's cold as hell! Vinny Del Negro gets his plays from NBA Live 98 on the Super Nintendo! Did you know that Brad Miller is still in the league!
  8. sulley, i dont think you understand how the salary cap works. it's not your fault though, knowledge tends to slip when your team is irrelevant for over a decade
  9. it's so pathetically knicks-like to be pinning your hopes on the ability to suck loud enough that you can hopefully entice a good FA by saying "WE CAN GIVE YOU LESS MONEY THAN YOUR CURRENT TEAM AND WE HAVE ONE GOOD PLAYER AND POSSIBLY A HIGH DRAFT PICK. COME ON DOWN." you're going to end up with an overpaid joe johnson
  10. god, you've got me going now. i've thought about the power forward conundrum so much this year also, let me gush over KD real quick offense is 12 points better with him on the court, defense is four points better with him on the court. when he's at the SF, his PER is 14 points greater than the opposing small forward HE'S 21 YEARS OLD my only concern is that since he'll never be any kind of distributor, his ceiling is limited to being a better carmelo anthony, which is dope, but people around here have this vision of him improving every year for the next 8 years and it doesn't seem reasonable to me
  11. yup, pretty much it's really durant's fault, or i guess presti/carleisimo's, actually. they drafted KD to be a 2 guard and for green to be the 3, but when it was apparent that that was a stupid plan and that durant couldn't be the 2, that meant that poor old uncle jeff had to move to the 4. i'd love to get a real 4 in the offseason, and i think green would be a great sixth man, but it's hard to demote a guy that has started since his rookie year. also, i think he's durant's best friend on the team, so hopefully they've been dropping "watching your friends move on to other teams is the nature of the game" hints to him. i'm really afraid that presti, who by all accounts is really smart, is going to get married to this weird chemistry thing we've got going on, and keep green around despite his obvious deficiencies. Also, Durant is going to get a max deal, of course, and they're going to have to pay westbrook a nice chunk, after next year, so im not sure how much dough will be around for green, anyway.
  12. damn, when did battier's son get so big?
  13. i was really just messing around, i love derrick rose i doubt either gm would do a straight up swap, even if they had swallowed truth serum. westbrook will probably never be the scorer that rose is already, but he (for the last couple months, anyway) fits perfectly with our roster build
  14. I used bitterness tags for a reason. If the officiating makes a difference, it means we lose by 23 instead of 15 or whatever. However, you can't really dispute the numbers. It's even more frustrating because Kansas is very, very good. That means officiating inequities are even more irritating because they don't need it. But whatever, you killed us again, so have your fun. i wasnt really talking about you. it was more eb14, who's somehow convinced KU would be 7-9 in big 12 play if it werent for the refs same fuzzy math that makes him think the earth is 10k years old
  15. it's a shame he's not the defender, rebounder or distributor that westbrook is. oh well, 2nd best guard from your draft class is still a pretty lofty accomplishment.
  16. theriot can't even throw out andruw jones' 350 pound ass from the hole
  17. i had no idea this was on tv until about 45 minutes ago this is so exciting BASEBALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
  18. whatever happened to cerda? the catcher thing not stick?
  19. wtf, you have a super bowl, ben, find someone hotter to rape
  20. What teams typically have a "handful of awesome arms" for their bullpen? Maybe you meant to say "a couple," since that's infinitely more realistic and even then isn't the norm. The Cubs have more than enough in house options to cycle through the bullpen before anyone even needs to think about wasting money or trade bait to strengthen it. i really love the dodgers pen, and that's about it
  21. i will boo him because he tried to bang helen hunt while she was still married to paul reiser in mad about you that still gets my blood boiling!
  22. didnt matt moore have a really good end of the season? of course, he could have 1 arm and he would still be better than delhomme let's predict where some of these RBs end up. I say Westbrook to.... Minnesota.
