if xavier goes in the lottery ill s a brick. is there a market for slow, fat, unathletic (by nba 2-guard standards) swingmen that can shoot but can't defend, rebound or pass? he's basically eric gordon+2 inches+20 pounds-athleticism i'd roll the dice on one of the 100 athletic project 4/5s before i'd draft henry but maybe that's me. also, daniel orton is staying in the draft, im pretty sure the second they can (can they already?) that OKC will tell him he won't slip past them. i had another sweet-ass ppoint i wanted to make but i can't remember what it was. oh yeah, orton had knee surgery his sr. year in HS and apparently there's a bugaboo that he blew his knee out last year, too? i dont know.

as a 19-year old in AA, he walked 28 times in 162 at bats and only Kd 19 times. His OPS was 1057 there's no chance he isnt a blanking stud

I disagree. He's a receiver, not a QB. He could easily go back to playing football at a high level. what in the world makes you think this? his body has to be nowhere near football shape, and as a white guy, he's at a disadvantage as a no-qb skill position guy, anyway. Because WR is a simple position. He can't play in a game tomorrow. But give him some offseason conditioning to work on his football moves and it would be simple. Guys go from minor league baseball players to college football all the time. Guys miss seasons with devestating injuries and still come back. Players go on freaking mormon missions and go back to football, or from selling insurance or delivering for UPS. Samardzija hasn't exactly turned to a fat slob. I think he could easily transition. He's in his early 20's. What do you think he runs now that he's been working on his fastball (lol) for 4 years? A 4.8? Football teams are really dying to add those 4.8 40-running white WRs that haven't played competitive football in 4 years.

the thing about samardzija is that we skimped and drafted colvin so we could afford them and they both suck. Super. Somehow Colvin is going to hit .250 for his career and never walk and he's going to be the bright side of those two picks. god i hate jim hendry and wilken and my father and i hate my life. im gonna go pick a fight.
