ryne sandberg is probably my favorite player of all time. when i was a kid, all i wanted was someone to sell his rookie card to the baseball card shop in my town so i could mow yards or something stupid like that and buy it. that never happened, but i eventually bought one on ebay and in a weird way, it's kind of one of my favorite things that i own. but post-playing career sandberg kind of seems like a total dick so f him.

hahaha i read about this today. I guess they wanted the Thunder, well, wanted KD, and he said he'd only do it if thabo and nenad could be on the cover, since they're the 2 starters that never get any pub. frankly, if i was SI, i would have been like uhhh, thanks but no thanks. It's really hard to not like Durant. there's no way he doesn't get busted for something bad in the next 5 years.

i just like how he's clearly dribbling a basketball, something he hasn't done on a basketball court for like 6 years. Nenad, jump 3 inches and fail to get a defensive rebound - check Nenad, set a pick and shoot a jumpshot - check Nenad, dribble .... uhh nevermind never do that.

It's obvious now that the Cubs have hired Quade that either all the chatter about Girardi being the top choice was wrong or that he was the top choice but made it clear to the Cubs that he wasn't interested. Got it now? But why was the timing curious? It's been reported it could happen soon. Quade has made a ton of sense from the beginning and a lot of people more or less assumed he was getting the job. What was it about the timing that makes you think it's curious? It would be curious timing to name Joe Girardi manager right now. It's not curious to name Mike Quade manager right now. You must be from Oklahoma, so I will type slowly. There were a lot of indications in the media that Girardi was the top choice and that the Cubs wanted to wait to talk to him before going with Quade. Since the Yankees are still playing, it was curious timing to seemingly give up on Girardi before even having the chance to talk to him. now you've gone too far

Unfortunately, I agree with this. The Sooners look absolutely beatable, but I just don't see how Missouri pulls it off. this reverse voodoo [expletive] won't work on me, idiots. but nice try.

as someone who watched those games, let's just say that if OU is No. 1, it's more of a down year in college football than we thought. I mean, I get the argument and I see why they're No. 1 at this point, but the odds of it lasting are next to 0 Yea, I think OU gets beat sometime this season too. i mean, at osu, at missouri, at texas a&M? this team is way too stupid to win all 3 of those on the road OU will have more trouble with Baylor than A&M this season. i believe it, we just always play like dogshit at college station and i'm inclined to just expect a loss there unless it doesn't happen because torrance marshall inexplicably runs one back.

let me guess, he talked about how he spent time with him a few years ago and how he is just such a great kid? He actually did use the phrase "great kid." he uses the exact same phrasing every time. i've literally heard it 4-5 times over the past couple years, and it's never during a telecast that tim tebow is actually involved in he can't announce a game that tim tebow is actually playing in because of the restraining order

I know this maybe sounds crazy but what about the Clips? Eric Gordon looked good at the worlds, blake griffin looks like a monster, maybe baron davis lost 20 pounds? I like the sacramento pick, it should be fun watching whiteside try to average more blocks per game than minutes per game.
