  1. I'm rooting for OU to move to the pac-12 just to watch all the state newspapers flip their [expletive]. Nothing like 9 p.m. start times with a midnight deadline. It would be hysterical.
  2. And I cry and cry and cry. I knew it at 18-6 same here. as soon as i saw 18-6, my heart dropped
  3. I dont think the colts are much more than a 9-7 team even with a healthy 16-game Peyton, to be honest.
  4. and rib crib
  5. They'd fit right in to the Chicago newspaper scene if that's the case.
  6. WTF is the origin of that gif lol
  7. Hahahahah, that steve stone picture always kills me
  8. I'm not sure what to expect from Orton this year, but it seems like the Broncos will run too much for him to put up many points. Jets D is scary, but the Cowboys should be explosive this year, so I'd take Romo. It just seems like every year, I [expletive] up one week by starting a guy against NYJ or Baltimore when I shouldn't have.
  9. Romo at the Jets or Orton against Oakland? I'm leaning toward Orton.
  10. In case anyone is curious how the guys we got for Fukudome fared with us this year, the answer is ... not good http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=smith-007car http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=abreu-001abn
  11. If we dont end up with Friedman because of Oneri [expletive] Fleita, i will inject a dose of heroin into my forehead the likes of which has never been seen
  12. You have the right pitcher but are off by one year. are the people that voted koufax over maddux aware of what offense was like in 1995?
  13. What a blast. It's so good to have football back.
  14. which direction?
  15. I've pushed it back until Tuesday, if that helps anyone?
  16. Any word on Sczur?
  17. Why do people keep saying this? It's one thing to say they didn't improve the team, but that's not the same as taking a step back. Who exactly did they lose that would help support this statement? They have an aging defense and I highly doubt that they're going to be as healthy as they were last year. I think that's a fair statement. It's a misinformed statement. They failed to take a step forward, no doubt. But they didn't take a step back talent-wise. That's just silly. They played above their heads last year and are basically the same team. How is that not a step back?
  18. Im putting all my eggs in the Friedman basket.
  19. Like I said, I like Upton, and I'd be ok with him as long as we get big upgrades elsewhere, but I am definitely not excited about giving him 5/60 if Kemp is going for like 8/150 or just whatever.
  20. i try to look at how his knees react to a breaking ball
  21. Hopefully we can get them together. Like the Wayans brothers.
  22. I actually have a soft spot for Upton, but come on. He's a better fielder, but his only consistency with the bat is that it's consistently worse than Kemp's. I'm fine with Upton as a fall back or something, but he doesn't really get me excited, unless he's going to repeat 2007, which looks like a fluke now. If we sign Kemp, he's probably in a corner (with Jackson in CF) anyway. I don't want to end up with a Jackson, Upton, Colvin OF because we wanted to save 7 million a season or whatever.
  23. Meh on actually going out and getting Matt Kemp. COF pretending to be a CF so he can get CF money. It's not even that he's not a good or very good player, but I think the Cubs can do better. In fact, I see that BJ Upton is a FA in the same season as Kemp. Now that's a CF that plays CF extremely well year in and year out, and he's got a bat himself. Kemp is the better offensive player, but I don't think the gap is so overwhelmingly huge. Plus if you're paying for a CF, why not pay for someone who's really good at playing CF defensively? yes, the offensive gap is overwhelmingly large
  24. Why not start it now? Manningham at the Skins or Stevie Johnson at KC?
  25. HAHAHAHAHA
