I wonder if Rickets' (and presumably, Theo's) desire to build from the farm system up has them wanting more of a disciplinarian/fundamentals guy as a coach? I understand the Sandberg angle from Rickets, but not necessarily Theo. -

The only time that comes close was before Mark Prior's injury was first announced in 2004. It was before spring training, right? Ricketts+Theo and crew could change this team forever. Even after Theo's gone, the principals he's bringing will still be here. IT'S FINALLY SAFE FOR ME TO HAVE A SON.
