    I don't know that I'd go that far, but it would be a much more competitive team than we've been seeing with lots of fun things going on in the background. Picking up Tanaka and keeping Shark could turn us into buyers at the deadline, and we have lots of [expletive] to play with. I can envision a playoff race scenario.

    I keep coming back to Jay Bruce as a comp for Kris Bryant, bat-wise. The numbers don't line up exactly, but Bruce was out of HS. He struck out a lot, walked a little below average, but put up .300 batting averages in the minors because he was just too talented. In the majors though, he's a .260 guy

    I assume Butler went 60:19 and minute totals of 60 or more just break yahoo? DeRozan went for 60 even in '12 according to basketball-reference. If their numbers can be believed, this would be the most since Jalen Rose went for 61 in '01 whose coaching these motherfuckers, kerry wood's dad?

    do injuries heal when you're in cryostasis? that would own, blow out your knee, get surgery, sit in cryo, pop out and you've missed a season or whatever, but you're the same age. would be a great market inefficiency. "Hey barry bonds, 73 home runs, nice, but our projections show offense going on a steep decline in about 10 years, how bout we pop you in cryo until those home runs are worth even more?"

    I dunno, Bogaerts is about as sure a thing as I can imagine. Ceiling wise Baez eclipses everyone but probably Buxton, but I think Bogaerts is a for sure star.
