    There was a funny moment during the Cardinals game yesterday. I had it on while I was at the gym, and when Hazelbaker hit a homer, McCarver got all wet and yelled out "you're about to see hazelbaker's first curtain call in about 25 seconds!" So the camera focuses on him in the dugout and ... Nothing. The other announcer meekly said "some of the fans are trying to give him one," and McCarver later said that his celebration in the dugout was too long for the fans to have given him the curtain call. They were so horsefeathering ready for the best fans in baseball they blue themselves on a dry run.

    The record of the teams we've played subtracting our games vs them is something like 6 or 8 games over .500 who cares? we all know the angels and reds are gonna win a combined 130 games
