  1. Did I??? Sorry!!! I will check, if I did (and it matters), please erase my last two starts Juan. Edit: I admit that with my vacation and all, that I haven't been paying close attention. But I checked the STATS page for this past week and it shows that I had 7 starts. 2 from Silva and Lowe, and 1 from Contreras, Buehrle, and Millwood. But the funny thing is that I remember that Buehrle did start twice for me. Juan, did you already delete two of my starts? yes Thanks. Again, my apologies for the slip up. BTW - Hamburg is great! As I said before, no big deal as far as I was concerned because you had me beat anyway. It's easy for something like this to happen when one doesn't have daily Internet access since, to the best of my knowledge, you can't edit your lineup in advance for a specified future date (as you can with Yahoo).sure, you can, all you have to do is click the data you want to set the lineup for at the top of the screen and then make your changes. That change will be effective only for that date gone forward. Third year in the league and I'm still learning things. :D Oh.... Sounds like you didn't know that either. No, I didn't. It should make life easier. One of the issues I have to deal with here is the time difference. This should solve that issue.

  6. Looks like there will be a tight race for the play-off spots in the west. Just about everyone is 6-7 or 7-6. :pr: Everyone except Juan of course :pl:
  7. What.....I am still in the lead??????? Of course it helps to have Mauer hitting this way. It also helps to have NC's pitchers outdueling mine in suckiness.
  8. Remember, one of the worst seasons for Boise was the year that they had Marshall, Hill, and Cherry as starters. The name of the game is not winning seasons, but developing prospects. I am really getting anxious to see Boise in action, but they do not swing by Salem until the middle of August.
  9. My starting pitching has been killing me all season. Mine (including Webb) has been inconsistent; brilliant one start, putrid the next. I got putrid last week; I'm due for brilliant this week. Finally, Millwood is pitching the way I hoped he would when I kept him from last year. His , and Josh Johnson's, injuries has been a huge part of why this has been a disappointing season. Unfortunately, newly acquired Silva didn't do as well. So i am in the lead, but I have used up 4 starts.
  10. Sounds like you will need to make your trades early.
  11. I really can't see the sense of having 3 catchers at Boise. One of them will probably DH when not behind the plate. Or prehaps the experiment with Clevenger isn't working...or prehaps the Cubs do not have as high as hopes for Mercedes as I do. But most likely someone will be moved to Peoria.
  12. Inquiring minds want to know!!!!! :sunny:
  13. My starting pitching has been killing me all season.
  14. I've seen plenty of posts where someone announces that someone is available. This is the first time I noticed an actual player auction. If everyone's cool with public auctions, I'll keep quiet. no need to keep quiet - I think we do better with new opinions and a few heated debates. Agreed.
  15. How is it different from what major league teams do at the deadline? It's too difficult for me to spell it all out on why I don't like it. Obviously, everyone wants a better return via trade than the player they are offering. To me, using NSBB and pimping the player and auctioning them off to the highest bidder just makes it seem unethical. I guess I'm just more old school with making a trade proposal or having someone else offer a trade proposal and accepting or rejecting based on whether you are getting enough to trade a player. Pimping them on NSBB and stating that the offers will need to be extremely impressive to beat other offers just doesn't sit right with me. If I'm the only one who sees it this way, I'll just shut up. I suppose it would have been better to have leaked trade rumors to my favorite beat reporter that I am unsatisfied with my teams preformance and things just have to change. Then have it rumored that my best pitcher will be heading to another team. and when that does not stir up enough action, to claim that there was nothing to the rumors??? Or prehaps we should be careful not to announce that we are wheeling and dealing so that we do not hurt our fantasy players fantasy egos??? :) But I think most of the contenders in this league know that now is the time to decide if they need a little more firepower and how much of tomorrow are they willing to trade for today. In my case, I decided that the owners who made offers for Beltran did not value him as I do. No problem there. But by testing the market I now know where I stand.
  16. This summer I am going to Hamburg. I will also spend a little time in Copenhagen and Lubeck. It should be fun :D . I will be leaving Friday. I have found that it is relatively easy to stay connected to Roadkill when I travel, but this weekend may be a bit of a problem.
  17. I see that Camp was playing CF yesterday, have they given up on him at 2B or...?
  18. I guess the price of Maggs went up, since I decided to keep Beltran.
  19. Quakers go down to defeat again. I may have to pull the plug on this season. I am willing to listen to offers for Beltran, but they will have to be good.
  20. He has been less than stellar in AA this season (although he has been coming on of late).
  21. Kroeger was once a highly regarded prospect for Arizona, but Arizona had a glut of outfield prospects, so they sent him to the Mets. He didn't really pan out there, so he has bounced around for awhile. AA was beneath him. The real question is he a MLB player or AAAA??? The jury is out. He could probably hit well at the MLB level, but with enough power to hold a corner outfield spot??? More likely he could be a useful bat off the bench.
  22. Juan- Are we playing during all-star week?
  23. Well I feel at little helpless. Nobody on my team is scheduled to play tonight. :x
  24. Yeah, but wouldn't it be better to have a whole one????
  25. Mr. Jones, Mr. Jones, Mr. Jones he has this thing going on... I am down by only 4 points, but I have burned up a start.
