i didn't see a problem with the sac bunt at the time it happened. what i had a problem with was the poor execution of that attempt. sometimes you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Soto is great but i see them wanting to move pie into scoring position in order to score him on a single. oh well....its fun to analyze and discuss what was going on in the minds of those who made the call.
good choice here...not a difference maker, but certainly someone who can maybe give you an inning in a pinch or maybe go 2 or 3 in any game we may get our behinds kicked. he has got some potential down the road, but is just a spare part over the rest of the season.
wonder what team put the claim in for fuentes? wasn't the waiver period over yesterday or was it wednesday? i'd love to have him but its not gonna happen
Fearless prediction- the next Cubs impact hitter coming from the minors will be Steve Clevenger. Maybe not 30 HR power, but .300 type with 20 HR potential.
No Soto or Towles, but available are Carlos Ruiz, both ARZ C's and I believe Paulino and the SD catchers..Like I said, nothing close to Johjima but still some good possibilities.
I get Ellsbury and I trade Johjima. I am short on steals after my draft and I need one more OF. There is a couple of decent options on waivers at C position, although of course not the quality of Johjima. Do I pull the trigger?
