  1. Derek Jeter syndrome. except Jeter really is cocky. Well, maybe cocky isnt the right word. Prince Fielder is cocky, and I respect the guy for some reason, he just really wants to win. Braun strikes me as the condescending type, and thats probably a better adjective to describe him with. And he has beady, beady eyes.
  2. The way ryan braun looks pisses me off. I know thats completely irrational, but he looks so cocky without even trying. Stupid braun.
  3. Too bad he can't do it with anyone on. I know he bats lead off and all, but he isn't that great of a hitter with guys on right now. Sounds like most of August for you guys.
  4. Chris Young has 8 more HR's than anyone on the Cubs, and is batting leadoff for the worst hitting team in the NL. *scratches head*
  5. great pics! thx for sharing
  6. When will you learn that every player, transaction, opinion, or topic on this board eventually turns into whining about Murton?
  7. It's a little deep, but still very interesting. http://baseballanalysts.com/archives/2007/08/can_i_have_seco.php
  8. same reason some ppl here like murton. oops, did I say that?
  9. He does sound like a whiner, honestly. And he's really not good enough to be whining, ever.
  10. Wow. Really didnt take much for me to stop reading the post
  11. Yea, it is, but still not enough to top the 3 guys I selected for the OF. I'm also biased due to the extreme success of Ichiro coming to the states. Obviously Matsui's been successful too, but not like Ichiro or even to a lesser extent, Daisuke.
  12. He and Jacque Jones are similar in the way that their current attitude and frame of mind directly translates into their production on the field.
  13. Oh was amazing. Led his league in HR's 15 times (13 consecutive!), won the triple crown twice, was a five time batting champ, and his 868 career HR's speaks for itself.
  14. Not very. Harimoto is the only guy with 3,000 hits (as far as I know), Ichiro is well..Ichiro, and Kadota has 567 HR's with 2000+ hits. I put them all over Matsui, who only hit 332 dingers in Japan.
  15. I recognize 4 people there. Most of them are all-time record holders or setters, ie, Harimoto had 3,000 hits.
  16. Asians P - Daisuke Matsuzaka P - Masaichi Kaneda P - Chien Ming Wang C - Kenji Johjima 1B - Sadaharu Oh 2B - Hiromitsu Ochiai SS - Yasumitsu Toyoda 3B - Shigeo Nagashima OF - Isao Harimoto OF - Ichiro Suzuki OF - Hiromitsu Kadota DH - Nobuhiko Matsunaka Uti IF - Lee Seung Yeop
  17. stupid mountain time, I assumed the game was on now :(
  18. Yes, gotta stop the slide before it really starts. I think it is too...was curious to see what others thought. When was the last time we even lost three in a row? Marshall really needs to step up today.
