    This game is big. Z needs to get on track. Wells has been on fire this month. We have 8 hits so far in two games. Need to get more offense. If we win, we have a 5 game cushion on the red birds

    Levine said the same thing actually. He said Selig got involved and got permission from all parties. Levine also said he thinks Z is 28 and not 26. I think Levine's probably talking out of his ass. Levine annoys me, he is bearable when I close my eyes then remember when he went off on Joe Morgan about Santo's hof miss.

    Dude, we're Cubs fans. Being bi-polar comes with the "job". I used to be, but this year has changed me. I am more level headed. It must be the extreme rollercoster this season has been. BTW for all of you Lee is "dead weight" morons... his august ops is still .853 so calm the f down. Yeah, that sounds like someone who is a level headed "Changed man"? :roll: fair enough

    Going off memory here, but I think it's 732 in the past 7 days, 680 in the past 14, and 750? in the past 28. No need to call people morons, unless you'd prefer to get banned to protect yourself from people who aren't happy with a 1B hitting like a shortstop. nice play by jones.... anyway... if I get banned for using the word "moron" then I am completely fine with that. i one hundred percent stand by that comment.

    I love the amnesia in this thread. 1. Lee had a 5 game hit streak before yesterday's game including a hr. He isnt his same old self the last month but this whole team has sucked in august. 2. Pagan has colitis, which is a terrible thing to have 3. I love the DeeRoow love going on today. Yesterday everyone wanted him benched for the hot hitting cedeno. give me a break.

    I would criticize that nickname, but I guess it flows a little better than "4-inning 115-pitch Rich." the fact remains that once rich gets a third pitch like a straight change... he will be a monster.

    I'm not since even if we lose 3 of 4 in this series, we'd be tied with STL. Keep in mind, Kip Wells and Anthony Reyes are starting two of the four games, and Zambrano and Lilly are starting two games for us. I think we'll take 3 of 4, but a split looks to be the worst case scenario. but reyes and wells have pitched very well this month. wells is tossing almost 9k's per start in august.
