  1. meh................ Felix Pie could have done that! LOL!
  2. If he translates into an All-Star appearance at 1B he can pitch in the 17th inning next year.
  3. One can hope. I need all the help I can get.
  4. Let me know. I need all the help I can get!
  5. who's your uncle? Yeah, I don't remember a Goober playing in the NFL? :D
  6. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2008/07/report_manny_fi.html Not only did he have an altercation with a traveling secretary over tickets for a game, but then they believe he intentionally watched three strikes in order to retaliate his fine. What a piece of work. My apology if this has been posted elsewhere.
  7. Willingham to U, Riveria to RP after my trade. Anyone wanting a RP let me know. I have Gonzalez available.
  8. I think if he's granted his release he'll probably be a Viking, but I'd rather him be a Bear then be a Packer or Viking.
  9. My team is a wreck all of a sudden. Both RP are broke, SP Saunders may be hurt, and Renteria will probably play this week, but is hurt as well. Let's just hope my SP is strong and Jenks comes back quickly this week.
  10. My best two exempt players are Longoria and Bruce.
  11. I would say 4 starts is the perfect number.
  12. I had Inoa first up on my queue, but then I decided Feliz is probably at least 3 years ahead of Inoa for a shot at the bigs. I just hope Texas trades him to a west coast team. I would have used up my #1 waiver slot on either one of them, though. But just think, Raisin, you won't be reminded of Neifi Perez or Pedro Feliz anytime you see his name on your roster. Yea, I had the same thought process. Inoa is so far away. I don't check the "New Additions" for 2-3 days and they drop 30 players into the system! I can't believe I missed the boat on that one. Although I can't believe no one picked up Betances. Once he gets his control issues straight he's going to be an elite prospect.
  13. It would be great for baseball if KC fielded a competitive team again.
  14. So a Cubs battery to start the game! Sweet.
  15. *raises hand* Maybe JH hasn't hit one since June 17. Yea, on second thought, those with Longoria probably will and probably should stand pat. That would be me and yes I'm staying right were I am.
  16. My pitching has been bad. My 1st pick is broke for the year, my second or third pick is no longer on my team because he has forgotten how to pitch effectively. A. Cabrera was the start of a bunch of bad 2B and Renteria has been nothing special at SS. Other than that my team is awesome.
  17. Just got my tickets. Upper Deck Infield tickets right under the press box. I've never sat there, but one of my buddies say he loves that section.
  18. I don't believe so, even though he didn't play in 06, I believe his clock started after the 2005 season. One of the reasons I didn't keep him. I'm not so sure under the new exemption rule. This is the exact wording from the rules thread: I interpret this as meaning that since he missed the entire 2006 season it doesn't count, so his exemption years would be 2005, 2007, and 2008. Juan can confirm or correct my interpretation. I always was under the impression that the clock started following the first year a player loses his exemption. If I misinterpreted, oh well I guess... Exemptions are kind of like option years. You could use an option one year, but not the next. There's been several cases of players gaining an exemption year because of injury. Most have been pitchers, I believe. Anyway, the player must meet or exceed the thresholds lined out otherwise they do not use an exemption.
  19. As have I. ESPN limits the tools in order to police anything as well. CBS's structure is much better. I'd never pay for an ESPN league.
  20. I'd be willing to pitch in another $10 a year in a new league with this structure. I think we have too many years with this set-up to try and make a change that drastic. It would essentially mean we needed to have a new draft and that we'd have to go a year without trading draft picks. Juan, I like the set-up and think it would be very interesting to see the difference in managing between the two structures. Like I said, if you want to start a new league with these structures I'd love to be a part of it.
  21. I thought he said he was going to see Cuban, not Stuart Scott?!?!
  22. We've all had our complaints from time to time, but you're right it's just a game amongst friends. I'd hate for Juan to feel that way as well. I can tell you that Roadkill has been a great deal of fun for me since the beginning. (Even if my team has sucked for most of Roadkill's existence.) I will say that we've always been pretty fortunate to have active owners. There's always an exception to the rule, but for the most part we have excellent participation. If any of us have problems with how a particular owner we can voice those in a respectful way. I think this has happened in the past and owners have been replaced for being inactive. I would venture to say that if Fishbulb isn't active the remainder of the year that Juan would probably look for a replacement.
